iPhone 12 deals

The day we’ve been waiting for has arrived. Both the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro have been available to order for a number of weeks, and now the iPhone 12 Mini and 12 Pro Max are also available.

Fortunately, Apple isn't the only retailer selling the iPhone 12 range. Big networks who are want to be your network provider for the next two to three years are also offering iPhone 12 deals and perks. So many, in fact, that it's hard to navigate and see which ones are best. So we're doing all the hard work for you, and rounding up the best deals available right now.

Apple

The first place to look is, of course, Apple. The tech titan only offers the iPhone, however, rather than bundling in texts and data so you can actually use it as a phone. That said, Apple is the best place to buy the phone SIM free, because you get an unlocked phone and can choose between paying it all upfront and splitting the cost into monthly payments.

iPhone 12 from £799 or £33/month @ Apple
The main perk of buying from Apple is being able to buy an iPhone without tying yourself to any particular network. And if you don't want to pay everything upfront, you can spread out your payment over 24 months. Naturally, you can also save money by trading in your old iPhone too.View Deal

iPhone 12 Pro: from £999 or £41/month @ Apple
The iPhone 12 Pro comes with more cameras, better features, and so much more. Obviously it's available with Apple for similar terms, available to buy over 24 months or with a single upfront payment. Plus, you'll get Apple credits you can use toward the purchase of the iPhone 12 Pro if you have a working device to trade-in.View Deal

iPhone 12 Mini: from 699 or £29/month @ Apple
The cheapest iPhone 12 model available, bringing back the smaller screen iPhone fans have been pestering for for year. Again you can pay for it all upfront, pay it off over 24 months, and save money if you trade something else in when you buy.View Deal

iPhone 12 Pro Max: from £1,019 or £45/month @ Apple
The iPhone 12 Pro Max comes with more cameras, better features, and so much more than the 12 or even 12 Pro can offer. Obviously it's available with Apple for similar terms as the rest, available to buy over 24 months or with a single upfront payment. Plus, you'll get Apple credits you can use toward the purchase if you have a working device to trade-in.View Deal

iPhone 12 Mini (w/100GB): from £57 a month w/£30 upfront @ EE
There are cheaper plans, but the amount of data they offer means they don't offer nearly the same amount of value. So we recommend the 100GB plan which will cost you £57 a month with a £30 upfront charge. Upping the storage ups the price again, so you can get 128GB and 256GB for £59 and £65 a month.View Deal

iPhone 12 Mini (w/Unlimited): from £62 a month w/£30 upfront @ EE
Your cheapest unlimited data plan without a trade in bonus is pretty bare bones. It's not the Full Works plan, so it only comes with Unlimited data and has no other special perks bundled in. Again this is for the 64GB model, and upgrading to 128GB or 256GB is going to cost you a respective £64 and £70 each monthView Deal

iPhone 12 Mini (w/Smart Benefits): from £64 a month w/£30 upfront @ EE

Best iPhone 12 Pro Max Deals on EE

iPhone 12 Pro Max (w/100GB): from £67 a month w/trade in @ EE
Your cheapest iPhone 12 Pro Max trade-in deal is the 128GB model which is going to cost you £67 a month at EE, but you'll need to swap a working iPhone XS or XS Max to save that money. Up that 256GB and 512GB and you'll end up having to pay £71 or £81 a month insteadView Deal

iPhone 12 Pro Max (w/Unlimited): from £81 a month w/trade in @ EE
If you want Unlimited data with a trade-in bonus you'll have to spring for the Full Works package. That costs £81 a month for the 128GB model, and comes with three smart benefits, unlimited data, and other special perks on BT Sport. If you want the higher storage those prices will rise to £85 and £97 each month, for the respective 256GB and 512GB modelsView Deal

iPhone 12 Pro Max (w/100GB): from £77 a month w/£50 upfront @ EE
There are cheaper plans, but since they ask for double the upfront cost and offer really rubbish data allowances, they're just not worth it. So we recommend going for 100GB of data for £77 a month. That's the cheaper 128GB model, naturally, while the 256GB and 512GB models will raise that price to £81 and £93 a month.View Deal

iPhone 12 Pro Max (Unlimited): from £82 a month w/£30 upfront @ EE
The bare bones unlimited package with no extra bonus perks, but unlimited data is unlimited data. It's yours for £82 a month with the 128GB model, or £86 for the 256GB model, and £98 for 512GBView Deal

iPhone 12 Pro Max (w/Smart Benefits): from £84 a month w/£50 upfront @ EE
Your cheapest smart benefit package comes with a single subscription to enjoy, and costs £80 a month for 10GB. That's rubbish though, so we suggest 100GB or Unlimited plans which cost £84 and £87 a month for the 128GB model. The 256GB model will set you back £88 or £91 a month, while 512GB will cost £100 or £105View Deal

iPhone 12 Pro Max (Full Works): from £91 a month w/£30 upfront @ EE
If you need the best of everything, there's Full Works, complete with unlimited data, three smart benefits, and special BT Sport perks. That'll cost you £91 a month for the 128GB model,  £95 for the 256GB, and £109 for the 512GB modelView Deal

Perks of joining EE

The main perk of EE are the swappable benefits, giving you access to one or more perks you can swap on a month by month basis if the mood strikes you. For iPhone contracts those perks include Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, BT Sport Ultimate, increased data roaming, and a Video Data Pass which lets you stream video without using up your data allowance.

Swappable Perks are good value, but they do cost extra, so make sure you pick the right contract.

EE also has the largest 5G coverage of any UK network, lets you make calls from your Amazon Echo devices, lets you gift your unused data to others,  and finally the option to upgrade anytime you like after the first 15 days of your contract.

There are plenty of perks to be had on Sky, though the main one is the data piggybank that lets you store your unused data to be redeemed sometime over the next three years. It’s done automatically, and you can use that to either up your current allowance or exchange the unused data for some sort of physical reward.

Sky TV customers also get free unlimited calls and texts, which amounts to a £10 a month discount, as well as unlimited streaming of Sky TV apps

Sky will also let you change your plan mid-contact with a feature called ‘Mix’. Changes can be made on a monthly basis is you’re so inclined. Finally if you want to swap phones mid-plan you can, but you will need to pay off the existing phone first -- part of which can be reclaimed by sending it back to Sky.

Best iPhone 12 deals on Tesco Mobile

iPhone 12: from £39.99 a month @ Tesco Mobile
Tesco is another network that splits up the cost of the phone from the data. So whatever allowances the 64GB iPhone 12 will cost £39.99 a month on a three year contract. That price also rises to £41.49 a month for the 128GB model. All contracts come with 5,000 minutes and texts as standard, while data is variable. 6GB will cost £15 a month, 25GB is £20, and unlimited is £30View Deal

Tesco also offers Family Perks if you have more than one number on your account, though how much you get all depends on how much you’re paying. But those perks include extra data, money off your bill, money off mobile insurance, extra Clubcard points, extra off-Tesco minutes, and 500 extra Tesco mobile minutes.

Perks of joining Three

After scrapping the Go Binge perk, which let you stream content without using up your data allowance, there isn’t a lot of extra benefit to joining Three beyond the low cost of their data. The only real perk you do have is Go Roam, which lets you freely access your allowances in 70 countries across the world. But that’s basically it, aside from the wuntu rewards app which isn’t particularly unique.

Best iPhone 12 deals on Virgin Mobile

iPhone 12 (w/100GB): from £38 a month @ Virgin Mobile
Somehow the 100GB plan is only £5 a month more expensive than the 1GB option, and cheaper than 60GB, so this is definitely the best value plan. This three year contract is £38 a month for the 64GB model, but upping the storage to 128GB and 256GB will increase that price to a respective £40 and £43 a month.View Deal

iPhone 12 (Unlimited): from £55 a month @ Virgin Mobile
This one is off limits to anyone who doesn't have an existing Virgin TV or broadband account, but if you do have one, then great! £55 a month for three years gets you the 64GB iPhone 12, but upping the storage to 128GB or 256GB will increase that price to a respective £57 and £60 a month.View Deal

Best iPhone 12 Pro deals on Virgin Mobile

iPhone 12 Pro (w/100GB): from £44 a month @ Virgin Mobile
iPhone 12 prices start at £39 on Virgin, but you only get 1GB of data for that amount. But £5 more and you get 100GB of data to use on a three year contract. No we're not sure how that works, but we're not complaining about it. That's for the 128GB model anyway, so naturally 256GB will cost you £48 a month, while £54 gets you the 512GB model.View Deal

iPhone 12 Pro (unlimited): from £61 a month @ Virgin Mobile
This one is only available to existing Virgin TV or broadband customers, so if you are one think about this. It's another three year contract, and prices rise to £65 and £71 for the 256GB and 512GB models, respectively.View Deal

Best iPhone 12 Mini deals on Virgin Mobile

iPhone 12 Mini (w/100GB): from £35 a month @ Virgin Mobile
What do you know, the 100GB plan is also weirdly good value for the iPhone 12 Mini too, so pick up this three year deal if you're shopping at Virgin. The price rises with storage, naturally, so 128GB will cost £37 and 256GB will cost you £39 each monthView Deal

iPhone 12 Mini (Unlimited): from £52 a month @ Virgin Mobile
Another one walled off for non-Virgin customers, unlimited is only an option if you have an existing TV or broadband account. Again this £52 is for the 64GB model over three years, though upping the storage means you pay £54 and £56 for the respective 128GB and 256GB models.View Deal

Best iPhone 12 Pro Max deals on Virgin Mobile

iPhone 12 Pro Max (w/100GB): from £49 a month on Virgin Mobile
Surprise, surprise, the 100GB plan on the iPhone 12 Pro Max is also incredible value, and only £5 more than the 1GB plan. So why bother with any of the others? This is three years again, and gets you the 128GB model. The 256GB and 512GB models are more expensive, as ever, and cost a respective £52 and £59.View Deal

iPhone 12 Pro Max (Unlimited): from £66 a month on Virgin Mobile
If you're already a Virgin TV or broadband subscriber then this is worth considering, especially since it's not available to anyone else. £66 a month gets you unlimited data for three years, though that's just the 128GB model. The 256GB and 512GB models each cost a respective £69 and £76 each monthView Deal

Best iPhone 12 deals on Vodafone

iPhone 12 (w/48GB): from £58 a month w/£49 upfront @ Vodafone
This is double the data of Vodafone's 24GB plan, but also currently costs £1 less a month. Does it make sense? No, but are we complaining? Only a little. The price obviously rises with the other models, with Vodafone asking for £62 for the 128GB model and £66 for the 256GB model. You can also save £15 a month if you trade in an iPhone 8 or newer, or pay £13 more to include the Red Entertainment package.View Deal

If that's not good enough, maybe 100GB of data will entice you instead. Of course the £61 monthly price tag rises to £65 for the 128GB model and £69 for the 256GB model. You also save £15 a month by trading in an iPhone 8 or above. Sadly there's no Red Entertainment package here.View Deal

iPhone 12 (Unlimited Max): from £65 a month w/£29 upfront @ Vodafone
If you want unlimited data, you want Unlimited Max because the others all restrict your speed — which is pointless. The 64GB iPhone 12 is £71 a month, which rises to £69 for 128GB, and £73 for 256GB. On top of this you can save £15 a month if you trade-in an iPhone 8 or newer, or you can add the Entertainment package for an additional £7 a month.View Deal

iPhone 12 Pro (w/48GB): from £66 a month w/£49 upfront @ Vodafone
Forget the 24GB plan, which is barely actually more expensive than this, and screw the sub-10GB offerings Vodafone has. We're starting with this £66 deal, netting you 48GB of data with the 128GB iPhone 12 Pro. Naturally that means the 256GB model is £70 and the 512GB model is £81. Though you can save £15 a month on each one if you trade in an iPhone 8 or newer. Red Entertainment is also available, but it'll cost you an extra £7 a month.View Deal

iPhone 12 Pro (w/100GB): from £77 a month w/£29 upfront @ Vodafone
More than double the data for less than double the price, which is a bargain for us. As usual this is for the 128GB model, so upping the storage to 256GB will cost £73 a month and 512GB will cost £77. You can save £15 a month by trading in an old phone, provided it's an iPhone 8 or newer, though the 100GB plan doesn't offer Red Entertainment so you'll have to go without streaming.View Deal

iPhone 12 Pro (Unlimited Max): from £73 a month w/£29 upfront @ Vodafone
The pinnacle of what Vodafone has to offer, with no limits on data or speed -- which we can all agree is a great thing. This gets you the 128GB model, though you can get 256GB and 512GB for the respective £77 and £81 instead. As usual trading in an iPhone 8 or newer saves you £15 a month, which is more than enough to cost the extra £7 it would cost to add the Red Entertainment to the plan.View Deal

Best iPhone 12 Mini Deals on Vodafone

iPhone 12 Mini (48GB): from £54 a month w/£29 upfront @ Vodafone
Somehow cheaper than the 24GB plan, and not that much more than the plans offering 6GB and below. This £54 a month gets you the 64GB model, while the 128GB and 256GB models will set you back a respective £58 and £62 each month. Knock £15 off if you have an iPhone 8 or newer to trade in, or add a Red Entertainment bundle for £7.View Deal

iPhone 12 Mini (100GB): from £57 a month w/£29 upfront @ Vodafone
If 48GB isn't enough, or you appreciate value, adding £3 a month to your bill gets you an extra 52GB of data to burn through. This is for the 64GB model anyway, since the 128GB and 256GB models will each cost their respective £61 and £65. Again knock off £15 if you have a valid trade-in, but sadly you can't seem to add Red Entertainment to this particular deal.View Deal

Best iPhone 12 Pro Max Deals on Vodafone

iPhone 12 Mini (48GB): from £74 a month w/£29 upfront @ Vodafone
Like the other phones, this is cheaper than the 24GB plan for some reason, so you better snatch it up while you can. £74 a month is the price for the 128GB model, and jumping to 256GB and 512GB models will up the price to a respective £80 and £86. Knock £15 off if you have a valid trade-in (iPhone 8 or newer), or add £7 a month if you want the Red Entertainment bundle.View Deal

iPhone 12 Mini (100GB): from £77 a month w/£29 upfront @ Vodafone
Only £3 a month more than the 48GB plan, with over double the data. the 128GB model is £77 a month, though that goes up to £85 a month for the 256GB model. Unfortunately the 512GB model doesn't seem to be available on this plan. Plus, if you have a valid trade-in, you can also knock £15 off your monthly bill.View Deal

iPhone 12 Mini (Unlimited Max): from £81 a month w/£29 upfront @ Vodafone
The pinnacle of what Vodafone has to offer, on what is likely Apple's best iPhone so far. Unlimited Max has no limits on data use or speed, and it can be yours on the 128GB Pro Max for £81 a month. Higher storage means high prices again, and 256GB will cost £90, and 512GB is £96. Knock £15 off the monthly bill if you have a valid trade-in, and add £7 if you want Red EntertainmentView Deal

Perks of joining Vodafone

Like EE with its swappable benefits, the main perks of Vodafone are tied up in the deals themselves. Red Entertainment packages give you a subscription to enjoy for the duration of your contract, including Prime Video, Now TV, Spotify, or Sky Sports Mobile. Outside of those specific deals, there isn’t a lot to choose from.

Vodafone does offer extending roaming on certain contracts, and has the VeryMe rewards app, but really there’s nothing too unique about either.
