The only Roku TV I’d buy with my own money just crashed to $599 in this limited-time Amazon deal
Roku makes streaming shows and movies a breeze
Roku TVs put the convenience of a Roku streaming device right into the TV itself. At one point during my TV-reviewing tenure, that was their only selling point. But in 2026, Roku TVs actually come with pretty decent performance, too.
Because of this development, I’m always on the lookout for worthwhile deals on certain Roku TVs. That’s why I’m sounding the alarm about this: a 55-inch Roku Pro Series TV for just $599 at Amazon. Unlike many of its predecessors, this Roku TV is equipped with relatively sophisticated display technology in Mini-LED backlighting. And, of course, it’s all built around my favorite smart platform: Roku.
The Roku Pro Series is an affordable, approachable Mini-LED 4K TV that offers a simple-but-powerful backdrop for all of your streaming needs. Its quantum-dot color and Mini-LED backlighting make this TV a step above most TVs in its price range. Plus, there are enough gaming features here to satisfy both casual and dedicated gamers.
It's the best of both worlds: the simplicity of Roku with the power of Mini-LEDs. As the "Pro" designation suggests, the Roku Pro Series is a step above the Roku TVs of yesteryear.
The Pro Series is equipped with both quantum dot-color and Mini-LED backlighting — a combination of hardware that only recently made its way to Roku TV lineups. With Mini-LEDs, the Pro Series' backlight control is better suited for sports, movies and shows than most run-of-the-mill LED TVs.
There was a time where Roku TVs didn't come with this sort of hardware. For those shoppers who want an impressive picture to go along with a simplified software experience, the Pro Series is very much worth a look.
If you've had an opportunity to use a Roku streaming device in the past, you probably understand the appeal of this easy-to-use software.
If you've had an opportunity to use a Roku streaming device in the past, you probably understand the appeal of this easy-to-use software. I recently decided to switch from webOS to Roku and my day-to-day streaming experience has improved.
Of all the streaming platforms available today, Roku's interface is easily the most straightforward. It consists of big icons, legible menus and a minimum amount of ads.
Roku won't let you down when it comes to app availability, either. The Roku library is vast. This makes Roku a great choice for both dedicated streamers and casual users who might be averse to streaming software.
And, not for nothing, but the Pro Series is also a pretty powerful gaming TV, too. It's equipped with a pair of HDMI 2.1-compatible inputs (out of four total) that support 4K gaming up to 120Hz. This is the maximum 4K spec for current-generation consoles. Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro are here, too, for smooth, tear-free gaming.
Thanks to its mix of nifty hardware and easy-to-use software, the Pro Series is a true crowd-pleaser. Amazon has given this listing its limited-time deal tag, though, so this deal has an expiration date.
