Is there anything more unpredictable than the current Aussie summer? One day it's scorching hot, the next day it's cold and rainy — like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get.

Thankfully, there are still some good surprises sneaking up on us this season, and I'd argue that Vodafone's Summer Switch sale definitely falls within that category.

In other words, the Small SIM Only Plan with 60GB of monthly data is only AU$39 p/m (or AU$0.65 per GB) during your initial year, after which the price returns to AU$53 p/m (AU$0.88 per GB).

For even better value, the Medium SIM Only Plan with net you a generous 200GB of data per month for only AU$49 p/m (around AU$0.24 per GB) for the first 12 months, then back to its full price at AU$63 p/m (just AU$0.31 per GB).

Of course, if you really want to make the most of your first year on Vodafone, you could opt for the Large SIM Only Plan, which gives you a ridiculous 400GB of monthly data to play with at the discounted rate of AU$59 p/m (or roughly AU$0.15 per GB). Once those initial 12 months are up, however, the Large plan will return to its usual cost of AU$73 p/m (or AU$0.18 per GB).

That said, if you'd rather pay for your entire year up front, you may want to consider the $250 Prepaid Plus SIM plan with 12 months expiry period for 200GB of data, now only AU$179 for the first year, which averages out to AU$14.91 per month and 16.6GB per month. After that initial year, however, the price will go back to AU$250 with 12 month expiry and 150GB over the year.
