A bundle of iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max specs have been leaked, courtesy of analyst Jeff Pu (via 9to5Mac).

Based on data from GF Securities, Pu tells us some of the key components that will apparently be found in Apple's pro-grade iPhones this year, alongside details of the iPhone Fold.

First up, we can see that Pu expects the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max to appear during Apple's usual September launch window later this year. It's been rumored consistently that there will be no standard iPhone 18 launched in 2026. Instead, Apple will hold off on that model until 2027, when it will launch alongside that year's iPhone e-series model and the iPhone Air 2.

Like the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, the new Pro models will have 6.3 and 6.9-inch displays. There could be upgrades like higher brightness or a tougher, less reflective glass material, building on previous changes to iPhone displays, but the size is all this leak is able to give us.

Possible iPhone 18 Pro performance specs

To run the phones, Apple will apparently use a new A20 Pro chipset, coupled with 12GB RAM. The A20 will be built by TSMC, Apple's silicon foundry of choice, using its new N2 (2-nanometre) process, meaning it'll be more densely packed with transistors than the current 3nm A19 chip. That in turn should mean better performance and power efficiency in the same-sized package.

WMCM, or wafer-level multi-chip module, is the other important part of how the A20 will be built. This is another TSMC technology which squeezes multiple components like a CPU, GPU, NPU and RAM together onto a single die. It's more good news for keeping the iPhone's internals as space-efficient and performant as possible.

The 12GB RAM in the new iPhones will be of the LPDDR5 standard. This isn't the fastest-available standard — that would be LPDDR5X, with LPDDR6 modules expected to be available in devices shortly — but it's still going to be plenty fast.

An Apple C2 modem will also be inside the iPhone 18 Pro units for connectivity purposes (the BB in the table standing for "broadband"), according to Pu. Currently, the iPhone 17 series uses Snapdragon X80 modems, with the iPhone Air using Apple's latest C1X and the iPhone 16e using the original C1. It will be interesting to see how 5G performance and battery efficiency change as Apple moves to its own components across the board here.

Potential iPhone 18 camera specs

For users' photo needs, the iPhone 18 Pro will apparently use an 18MP front camera and triple 48MP rear cameras, using either 6-part or 7-part plastic lenses. This is the same as the iPhone 17 Pro, except for the fact that one of the 18 Pro's cameras, presumably the main camera, comes with a variable aperture (abbreviated to VA).

This is a technology found on full-blown cameras that lets the user control how much light enters the sensor, an important way of adjusting exposure and depth of field, basically how bright an image is and how much of an image is in focus.

Finally, in terms of design, the data claims that the iPhone 18 Pro will be built of aluminum, just like the iPhone 17 Pro. But the display will apparently change to feature a "structured light, smaller Dynamic Island."

This is believed to refer to Apple embedding the Face ID sensors under the display, leaving the iPhone 18 Pro with a single punch-hole notch for the selfie camera. It's easy to imagine how this will look — just think of any Android flagship phone that's launched in the past few years.

While there's still plenty of time for Apple to make changes ahead of the expected launch window, the iPhone 18 Pro sounds like it'll bring a nice bundle of upgrades to what is already one of the best phones available today.

But until Apple actually confirms these phones, and what upgrades they'll have, we'll keep on hunting down rumors and leaks to give you the clearest possible picture.
