Released last October, the ClimateCool is the more affordable of Sleep Number's two smart beds with dedicated climate control technology (heating and cooling functions). It can make your side of the bed up to 15 degrees cooler, and it will draw heat away from your body overnight.

Not sure what feel you like in a mattress? You're covered here too with the bed's adjustable firmness feature that enables you to change the feel of your half of the bed to suit your body weight and sleep position.

There are Sleep Number mattress deals most months, and the brand has slashed prices across its entire range this month ahead of the Labor Day mattress sales.

The iLE smart mattress is down to $2,939 (was $4,899) for a twin at Sleep Number, while the c1 smart bed starts from only $569.05.

Goodbye, sweaty nights

With more than half of adults finding themselves always or occasionally too hot when trying to sleep, according to Statista, the sleep problem of overheating is a common one.

To address this, Sleep Number uses active air cooling technology in the 12" ClimateCool to cool down the surface of the bed and pull heat away from your sleeping body through the night, promising to reduce the temperature by 11 degrees in as little as ten minutes, and allowing you to lower it by as much as 15 degrees overall.

Using the Sleep Number app, you can set your ClimateControl mattress to cool before you slip under the covers, or choose a “SmartTemp” program, which will automatically make temperature adjustments through the night to keep you at an ideal sleep temperature for you.

The ceramic gel foam layers help absorb and disperse heat to regulate your temperature, while the breathable cover boosts airflow, preventing warm air getting trapped in the bed.

Here Sleep Number's Director of R&D Emerging Technologies, Kody Karschnik, explains more:

Smaller budget? Try this instead...

Sleep Number c2 smart bed:was from $899now from $809.10 at Sleep Number

Sleep Number c2 smart bed: twin was from $899 now from $809.10 at Sleep Number
The Sleep Number c2 sits in the brand's entry-level range. It's one of the most affordable smart mattresses you'll find online at $1,169.10 (was $1,299) for a queen. You won't get the temperature regulating tech found in the ClimateCool, but there is a ceramic gel layer to draw heat away from your body to prevent overheating. Its also packed with sleep tracking sensors that work with a companion app to help you understand and improve your sleep. You can also customize the feel of each side of the bed. This isn't the lowest price we've seen (a queen has previously been down to $1,099 after a $200 off deal), but we still think it's great value for a smart mattress of this quality.
