Side sleepers, this is one of the coziest mattresses I've tested and it's less than $200 for a queen in Amazon's Big Spring Sale

When I first lay down on the Zinus Green Tea Mattress it was like being enveloped in a marshmallow — this mattress delivers a big hug for side sleepers and with a queen just $198 in Amazon's Big Spring Sale, it's easy on the budget.

The cloud-like foams of the Zinus ease around the body to prevent the dreaded 'numb arm' most side sleepers will be familiar with. Although it can’t quite compare to the all-round quality of the best mattresses we’ve tested, I think it delivers excellent bang for your buck.

It's my pick to the Amazon Spring Sale for side sleepers and you can expect it to keep you cozy all night long (although maybe a tad warm — I'll dive into that below.)

Zinus 10" Green Tea Memory Foam Mattress (twin)
Zinus 10" Green Tea Memory Foam Mattress (twin): was $212.99 now $170.99 at Amazon

A queen size mattress for just $198 is an exceptional deal and this bed impressed during my Zinus Green Tea Memory Foam Mattress review with its dense, body-hugging foams. There’s a chance of a slight further price drop — it was $178 for a brief period in December — but I think this deal is likely the best you'll get and it's already excellent value. A 10-year warranty is included but there's no mattress trial.

Why you should buy the Zinus Green Tea Mattress

Side sleepers, I'm talking directly to you here. While the Zinus might appeal to some back sleepers with a smaller build, it's mostly a bed for those of you who like to sleep tucked up on your side.

That's because its biggest selling point is the memory foam pressure relief that puts it among the best mattresses for side sleepers. You simply sink into the surface as the foams ease around the body. The result? Even weight distribution and no aches at the shoulders.

These softer foams do have some disadvantages. While the support is generally good it peters out at the edges — I nearly slid straight off the bed some mornings.

The Zinus can also sleep warm. Hot sleepers should check out the best cooling mattresses to avoid sweaty, uncomfortable mornings.

Overall, however, this Zinus mattress goes above and beyond its price tag. It's good for a master bed but it's excellent for a guest room.

Siena Signature Mattress (twin)
Siena Signature Mattress (twin): $159 at Siena

The Siena is the best cheap mattress we've tested and the firm support makes it perfect for back and stomach sleepers. In my Siena Signature Mattress review I praised the edge support and motion isolation, but noted it might be too firm for some side sleepers (who will be better sticking with the Zinus.) $294 for a queen matches the best price we've seen this year and with a 10 year warranty and 180-night trial included, it's fantastic value.
