“Wicked: One Wonderful Night” will delight Wizomaniacs knocking their ruby slippers together in anticipation of “Wicked: For Good,” the emotional conclusion to 2024’s box-office smash and which arrives in cinemas November 21.
Eye-poppingly staged at LA’s Dolby Theatre, the film’s star-studded cast reunite to perform thrillifying fresh takes on songs like “Popular” and “Defying Gravity,” with some very hush-hush special guests popping up to celebrate with Cynthia Erivo and friends.
With the exception of heartthrob Jonathan Bailey, the entire cast will join in the festivities, including Jeff Goldblum, Michelle Yeoh, and Bowen Yang. And they’ll not only belt out soaring new renditions of iconic songs (Yang will perform “Dancing Through Life” in lieu of Bailey), but we’re also getting a sneak preview of two original tracks penned by Stephen Schwartz that’ll feature in the upcoming film.
