If you've ever had to use the pre-installed streaming apps on your smart TV, you'll know how terrible they can be. That's why most people, including myself, will suggest one of the best streaming devices instead. They're not expensive and work a heck of a lot better, which is super important when you want to watch big events like the Super Bowl without technical issues.
It's no secret that I'm a big fan of Roku devices, despite their flaws, and streaming wouldn't be the same without one plugged into my TV.
The good news is that you can pick up a healthy discount on two fantastic Roku devices ahead of Super Bowl Sunday. The Roku Streaming Stick 4K is now just $34 at Amazon, which is half the usual price, while the more premium Roku Ultra is now $78 at Amazon — a $21 discount.
This streaming stick may be small enough to tuck away behind your TV, but that doesn't make it any less impressive. It's capable of outputting at 4K with HDR, features a clean/speedy interface, and it includes a smart remote that controls your TV. You can't go wrong with the Roku Streaming Stick 4K.

If you're willing to spend more for a better streaming box, then the Roku Ultra is for you. Offering faster performance, better WiFi, and a dedicated ethernet port, it promises a speedy and consistent streaming experience. Plus, the remote has more features, like a rechargeable battery, a customizable button, and backlit keys.

There's a lot to like about Rokus, even if they aren't exactly perfect. One of my favorite things is that the software is nice and clean, with minimal effort to push you towards specific services and content. There may be ads, but you don't get constantly pushed towards the Roku Channel the same way you would with an Amazon Fire TV Stick.
I'm also a big fan of the fact that the higher-end models come with dedicated TV controls. Both the Roku Streaming Stick 4K and Roku Ultra let you control TV power and volume, with a dedicated mute button to silence everything instantly.
Roku Ultra's Voice Remote Pro takes it a step further, too, with a rechargeable battery, a customizable button, Live TV toggle and backlit keys to make sure you can see what you're doing. The preset buttons are kind of a pain if you don't subscribe to the specific services, but they can be a quick timesaver if you do.
Both streamers support 4K and HDR video playback, but they still offer quite different hardware. The Streaming Stick 4K is designed to be discreet and hidden behind your TV, while the Ultra puts its size to good use with better performance. There's Wi-Fi 6, ethernet for a consistent hardwired internet connection, faster performance, plus a dedicated USB port.
That means not only can you watch the Super Bowl in the best possible quality, you should also get a solid, consistent internet connection to ensure you don't miss a second of the action. If you're not sure where the game is streaming, check out our guide on how to watch Super Bowl 2026 in 4K.
