Windscribe VPN reveals lowest price since Black Friday – but we don't know how long it'll be available

I'm a big fan of Windscribe, and if you're looking for an independent alternative to industry giants like NordVPN and ExpressVPN, it's an excellent choice.

The problem is that compared to many of the other best VPNs, it's usually rather expensive. However, when I checked my inbox this morning, I found a very appealing VPN deal from Windscribe sitting there. It's currently $2.42 per month on a 1-year plan, which works out at $29 all-in. This is the same as Windscribe's Black Friday deal last year, and I've never seen it cheaper.

Windscribe is well known as a powerful VPN that offers a very customizable VPN which suits experts and beginners alike.

What you'll get...

🚀 1,100+ Mbps speeds in my testing
🌍 116 locations in 70 countries worldwide
📱 Unlimited device connections
✨ Tons of expert customization

This 1-year Windscribe deal starts at $2.42 per month ($29 upfront), will renew at the same excellent price every year until you cancel. It also comes with a 7-day money-back guarantee.

How does Windscribe compare to other VPNs?

Windscribe is clearly a VPN that tries to cater for everyone, but will suit people who are a little more confident with tech than absolute beginners. The apps offer tons of customization, and while it's very easy to get connected in a single tap, the apps are noticeably more complex, and a little cramped.

Simpler options include ExpressVPN and Surfshark, both of which forgo more granular settings in favor of simpler interfaces and a more beginner-friendly experience. Surfshark starts at $1.78 per month and ExpressVPN is currently $2.79 per month, but bear in mind that both of these are on 2-year plans, and also go up in price when you renew.

My top-rated VPN is NordVPN, and it combines Windscribe's complexity and wealth of features with the simplicity of Surfshark and ExpressVPN, but costs a little more at $3.09 per month. Again, prices rise upon renewal.

Overall, this Windscribe deal is a great choice if you want a long-term cheap VPN, and you're happy with more complex apps.
