Black Friday is dead – long live Cyber Monday. As the shopping weekend draws to a close and we hit the final day of massive discounts, there are still some mega Cyber Monday VPN deals taking it down to the wire.
You can still pick up a premium VPN for a fraction of its regular price. How much of a fraction? Well, you can get some of the best VPNs for less than $2 per month. But be quick, these deals won't last much longer.
Surfshark – the best cheap VPN
Surfshark is the best cheap VPN out there and it can be yours for $1.99 per month. It's one of the fastest VPNs we've tested, recording speeds of 1,000+ Mbps. It unblocked pretty much every streaming site we threw at it and it boasts some nifty, and unique, features such as Multi IP and Alternative ID.
It's apps are simple and cater to beginners, plus you can protect an unlimited number of devices on one plan. There's 4,500+ servers to choose from, covering 142 locations in 100 countries, and a high standard of privacy and security.
It's not the most customizable, but when you get this level of performance for this cheap, it's hard to complain.
If you're feeling adventurous and want to spend $0.20 per month more, Surfshark One bundles Avira-backed Antivirus in with the VPN. It's award-winning and is a great tool for keeping your device safe.
PrivadoVPN – The lowest price you'll pay
If it's cheap you want, it's cheap you'll get. You won't get a fully-featured VPN for less this Black Friday.
PrivadoVPN can't quite match Surfshark for features but it's no slacker. It recorded very respectable speeds of 800+ Mbps in our testing and is designed for streaming unblocking – something it's very good at. It's apps aren't flashy, but they work and cover all major devices.
There's some unique features like GPS location spoofing and parental controls. It has a solid kill switch and you can protect up to 10 devices on one plan.
The inclusion of antivirus takes this deal to the next level. VPN protection and antivirus for just over $1 per month is incredible value. It's not fool proof and can't quite match the best antivirus software, but it's a brilliant free extra.
PrivadoVPN hasn't yet undergone any independent audits and this is something we'd like to see. However there's no reason to believe it's no-logs policy is a pack of lies. PrivadoVPN is safe, performs well, and affordable.
PureVPN – long-term value
Bringing up the rear is PureVPN. The provider has a habit of offering heavily-discounted Black Friday deals and this year is no different.
You can secure your data privacy for a whopping five years. It's rare for VPN plans to last this long and it'll cost you $1.49 per month for the privilege.
PureVPN is a solid, safe, all-rounder. It has 6,000+ servers in over 80 locations worldwide, its speeds are decent, and it's useful for unblocking streaming services. It's passed independent audits and it's simple apps can be used on up to 10 devices.
A lack of split tunneling support for Mac is a shame and in our last review, PureVPN's live chat and on-site support was fairly poor.
The provider can't quite challenge the VPN industry leaders when it comes to performance or features. But it's a reliable and super-cheap alternative.
FastestVPN – the lifetime-plan wildcard
Sorry, sorry, I know that this doesn't technically fit the bill here. But, if you buy this deal and use the VPN for a few years, it works out at less than $2 per month. Use it for five years, it works out at $0.50 per month, 10 years, it's $0.25 per month. Should I carry on?
Admittedly, FastestVPN isn't as good overall as the VPNs above. Most notably, it proved to be pretty poor when we tested its streaming unblocking in our FastestVPN review. For some, spending a little extra on a truly premium VPN like Surfshark will be the right decision.
But, if you're on a tight budget and you're planning on just using you VPN for privacy matters, FastestVPN is arguably the very cheapest way of doing so.
