6. Wireless Sharing
With the holidays arriving, try out these photo projects to capture memories forever!
While your smartphone will allow you to quickly upload photographs to your favorite websites and email to friends, your digital camera probably requires a tangle of cords. New wireless photo-sharing options are a major convenience, especially for on-the-go photographers. Wi-Fi cameras are great for travelling, since you’ll be able to leave extra cords and computers at home.
Nikon’s CoolPix digital camera is equipped with Wi-Fi so that users can upload their photos directly to the internet. Although pictures can only be sent to Nikon’s photo-sharing website Picturetown, once the photos are there you can easily send them via email and upload them to social media websites.
Samsung’s EC-SH100 is another great Wi-Fi-enabled digital camera. The camera lets you wirelessly upload pictures directly to Facebook or send them in email. You can even post videos straight to YouTube.
If you aren’t in the market for a brand new camera, you might want to purchase an Eye-Fi memory card. The card, which works with most camera brands, has built-in WiFi and can send pictures directly to your computer and other devices. While the memory card works with your home’s router to send photos, it can also directly send images to your iPhone, iPad, or Android when you’re away from home.
