Motorola's Social Networking Phone Gets Priced

- By - Source : Tom's Guide US

T-Mobile has announced pricing for the CLIQ along with a pre-order period that starts October 19.

Motorola's recently revealed CLIQ smartphone is a little bit on the weird side. As far as smartphones go, it looks fairly decent. However, Motorola has decided to target social network addicts so it's very Facebook, Twitter and MySpace orientated.

Despite most of you not being shy about how much you hate Twitter, a lot of you seemed to quite like it when it was announced a few weeks back. A 3.1-inch HGVA touch screen with a 320x480 resolution, a slide out QWERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G, GPS, all the usual Google bells and whistles (YouTube, Maps, GTalk), and a pretty nifty Last.fm application does sound pretty good when you ignore the fact that it sends all Facebook, twitter and MySpace notifications straight to your home screen, along with emails, phone calls and SMS.

Those of you dead set on getting the phone can pre-order starting October 19. Still no word as to whether or not the rumors about a $399 pricetag off contract were true but if you're willing to sign up with T-Mobile, you can pick one up for $199. The pre-order period lasts from October 19 to November 1 and is only for existing T-Mobile customers. Those of you willing to switch networks for the device can pre-order from November 2.

Hit up T-Mobile for more on pre-ordering.

Teehee phonetic WTF.

Seriously though, T mobile is just asking to have it's phone lines crippled. Have you seen how crazy people get when Fbook Mspace go offline??

Imagine them having a phone line to complain about it.
