Halo: Reach Goes Gold; New Screenshots Inside
The end of Bungie's run on Halo.
Halo: Reach is set to launch on September 14 and Bungie announced last week that the game is finished (gone gold) and is now in the hands of Microsoft's disc production facilities.
To help celebrate (and stir excitement) for Halo: Reach, Bungie has released a batch of new screenshots. Check them out below:

pointless, bunch of half witted halo fans will waste their hard earned cash on this game just like they did with halo wars and will be quite disappointed... bungee should have stopped at 3 but their killing their own product by releasing garbage

Lol, some of these screenshots are 1080p with no aliasing. These are NOT what will be running on the xbox.
They look to be running on their PC developer's toolkit, or pre-rendered, or maybe cutscenes?
So are they finally going to release a good PC version that doesn't suck, like HALO 2 for PC?
I hate console FPS, the Mouse and Keyboard owns all.
To all the "haters", the whole point of this game is it combines the most loved features of Halo 3 and Halo ODST.
Halo fans begged for this, things like fire-fight with matchmaking, a deeper more intuitive Forge.
Bungie has delivered.
So don't post saying they're milking it, or people will be wasting their cash. This is what the fans want, if you're not a fan why are you commenting?
You can't really use Halo Wars to compare quality since it wasn't made by Bungie. I personally played the Reach Beta and had a great time. With the limited content that they had available to test, the game was very fun. They have announced a lot more content since then that will be available in the full game and I'm personally excited about it.
It's gonna turn out to be the next Final Fantasy. No sequel intended on the original, but it was so successful that there are now 5 billion games derived from it

It's the last Halo game Bungie is making. Microsoft owns the IP now and Bungie's partnering with Activision. If Bungie makes another, it'll be 10 years from now.

Have you even seen the production videos? They completely rewrote the game engine for Reach!
I dont really care for the Halo games since they are for consoles but people love these games, Halo is to Xbox what Mario is to Nintendo or Final fantasy is for Sony, they wont stop making these games but they will probably expand it to include different types of games. But in my opinion if Halo isnt a FPS then its not really halo? Halo MMO or single player RPG? Hope they never try.

I tried the beta and hated it. However after playing modern warfare for a few months and witnessing the broken damage system, I look forward to a refresh of Halo.

your mistaken halo with call of duty...halo maps usualy becomes free after a relatively short time (back when i was playin halo 3) i cant wait for halo reach aand hopefully the books and games will continue under microsoft

yeah seriously i never watch any of the pics because of this....two clicks to view then u gotta close that extra window go to the back button they restart all over again

There is one picture I noticed that looks drawn, the last one. Otherwise, I personally think these screenshots really show off some graphical prowess. I've seen GOOD GRAPHICS and this definitely looks good.
I believe there is a "grain" effect being utilized in the engine. I like it.
Looks okay but graphics haven't progressed much since Halo 3 IMO. I guess more signs that consoles inhibit gaming development - I'll get my dose of graphics with Crysis 2.
So many damn console haters on this site. Believe or not, Halo and xbox made multi player gaming for what it is today. I dont have exact figures but I can maybe promise that there is more people playing consoles and xbox live than people playing any game on a pc(except WOW or possibly starcraftII).
All Im saying is stop thinking your elite because you choose to game on one particular system or be a fanboy. All your doing is limiting your choices. I have a beautiful i7 gtx 460 sli machine,360,and a PS3. You see how that works? I have a choice and dont play fanboy to camp.
You can think your elite and talk about halo but you should really respect what the game has done and what a CONSOLE has done. I for one with all my systems and choices, I cannot wait till Reach comes out. Ive already told my wife that she will have to stay at her friends on launch day.
