7. Rewarding Devlopers

Facebook has set up a system of support and awards to promote applications and to also make them more stable. The winner will walk away with $250,000, and there are $25,000 grants for the 10 best competitors to use in developing their applications. The deadline to enter is August 29.

Finding Star Projects

You developers out there who are Facebook adepts and have good ideas for apps can try your luck. Special development grants are offered for the most interesting, practical and original projects. There will be 25 finalists who will receive $25,000 grants, and the five best teams will each get $250,000. At least one member of each project team must be a U.S. resident, and the money will have to be used exclusively for the development of entrepreneurial projects.
