6. International Outreach

The versions of Facebook used by members in foreign countries are translated thanks to the hard work of bilingual volunteers. Facebook wants to develop the same system of mutual self-help for its applications and help make all of them (most of them, anyway as there are tens of thousands) multilingual and accessible to everyone.

International Understanding

The Developer Blog is a place where developers in all countries can get together and pool their resources. There’s also a dedicated forum for the same purpose. In general, Facebook’s most recent efforts show the developers’ desire to put anybody and everybody in touch that has a contribution to make so they can help build the network – thus making this social network more social than ever.
