LG's 65-inch C5 OLED TV is so good we gave it 5 stars — and it's nearly 50% off right now
Get gorgeous contrast and brilliant colors at half the cost
Don't get fooled: Even though Black Friday and Cyber Monday are in the rearview mirror, TV deals are still aplenty. I'm keeping my nose to the ground on all the best savings you can snag before we ring in the New Year, and one such OLED caught my eye.
To no one's surprise, it's LG's mid-range 2025 model. Currently, you can purchase the 65-inch LG C5 OLED TV for $1,399 at Best Buy. That saves you half the asking price, slashing $1,300 off one of my favorite OLEDs of 2025. It's a no-brainer for anyone looking to get the best picture quality at a reasonable price.
The LG C5 OLED is built on an illustrious design that offers stellar brightness and color metrics. Self-emitting pixels allow it to spit out gorgeous contrast, and it offers a slew of features for gamers to enjoy their favorite experiences at breakneck speeds. You can get it on Best Buy right now for 50% off!
Aside from its self-emitting pixels being a highlight, the LG C5 OLED also boasts a feature-rich platform deserving of immense praise. It's one of the only TVs we gave a perfect review all year, highlighting its incredible value and performance.
What draws me in most is its Dolby Vision support. Unlike Samsung models, which lack Dolby Vision in favor of HDR10+, LG takes the opposite approach. This allows LG's OLEDs to put its superior HDR brightness metrics to good use. In our labs, the C5 was able to kick out 1,179 nits in a 10% window. This ensures specular highlights and darker scenes a flush of added brilliance, made even more immersive with Dolby Vision enabled.
Another bright spot on the LG C5 is its superior processor. It can power through regular broadcasts with ease, upscaling 1080p and even 720p to 4K with minimal artifacting or downgrades. This is how the LG C5 stands out; it's built on an incredible video processing chip that can give everything from sports to news broadcasts the glow-up they deserve.
Of course, you can also experience your favorite games in the best quality thanks to a slew of amazing features, including ALLM, VRR, and a full suite of HDMI 2.1 ports. As one of the best gaming TVs to launch this year, the C5 is a solid option that can breathe life into your favorite digital escapes through its extensive gaming hub and extremely low input latency of 9.1ms.
We highlight LG's C-series almost every year, noting its exceptional price-to-performance value proposition. Although there are a few minor hindrances, such as the absence of an ATSC 3.0 tuner and HDR10+ support, the LG C5 OLED remains inarguably the most feature-rich TV on the market for the price, which is made even more accessible thanks to a 50% discount.
