Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 deals — top plans and offers in Australia
Here's how you can save money on one of Samsung's new foldables
Samsung's new Galaxy Z Fold 8 lineup has now been released, marking the end of the pre-order window. If you missed out on all the great pre-order bonuses that were up for grabs in the lead up to launch, don't worry — we're here to help you find the best Galaxy Z Fold 8 deals that currently available in Australia.
The new Galaxy Z Fold 8 is arguably the star of the show, adopting a shorter, wider, passport‑like shape with a 5.5‑inch cover screen and a 7.6‑inch main display, while the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra keeps the taller, classic layout with a 6.5‑inch cover screen and an 8‑inch main display.
But that's not all that's new this year: the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and the Z Fold 8 Ultra boast Samsung's new Flex Titanium display, which adds a flexible titanium‑alloy film under the foldable OLED panel to increase durability and significantly reduce the crease on both devices.
Maybe the biggest change is Samsung finally adopting silicon‑carbon batteries for both the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Fold 8 Ultra, which raises capacity from last year’s 4,400mAh in the Z Fold 7 to 5,000mAh in the Z Fold 8 Ultra and 4,800mAh in the smaller Z Fold 8. It also brings about faster charging, going from 25W (wired) and 15W (wireless) on the Z Fold 7, to 45W (wired) and 20W (wireless) on the Z Fold 8 range.
As always, you can nab the new Galaxy Z Fold 8 lineup from Australia's top retailers and telcos, and while it's too late to score a pre-order bonus, it's still possible to score a good deal on one of the new foldables. Here are the best Samsung Galaxy Z plans and offers available right now.

Galaxy Z Fold 8 deals and offers
Most retailer offers have evaporated post-launch. However, JB Hi-Fi is still offering a AU$150 JB gift card with Galaxy Z Fold 8 purchases, which is pretty decent.
For those who prefer paying off the phone over time, the major mobile carriers are cutting hundreds off handset costs on repayment plans. Optus offers a flat AU$600 off any model over 12, 24 or 36 months, while Vodafone drops AU$500 off the device price over 24 or 23 months.
JB Hi-Fi: Get a AU$150 JB Hi-Fi gift card when you pre-order Galaxy Z Fold 8 or Z Fold 8 Ultra
JB Hi-Fi offers an easy-to-use retail perk by including a AU$150 JB Hi-Fi Gift Card with all Z Fold 8 and Z Fold 8 Ultra purchases. This makes JB Hi-Fi a decent option for outright buyers, though it's worth noting that the gift card was worth twice as much during the pre-order window. Still, it's better than nothing!
Optus offers a simplified, model-agnostic plan deal by slashing AU$600 off any model in the lineup (Z Fold 8 or Z Fold 8 Ultra) over the course of a 12-, 24- or 36-month repayment plan. That's slightly less than the $750 saving being offered during the pre-order period, but for a post-release offer, this is a great deal.
Vodafone: Save up to AU$500 when purchasing Galaxy Z Fold 8 on an eligible 24- or 36-month plan
Vodafone knocks AU$500 off both the Z Fold 8 and Z Fold 8 Ultra on 24- or 36-month repayment contracts, which is a great post-release offer for those who missed out on the pre-order window.
