Where does Fizz operate?
Fizz is a Canadian mobile operator, and is technically an MVNO partnered with Videotron and Freedom Mobile. As such, your plan will only cover you for service in Canada (unless you specifically choose the Canada + US plan option when signing up).
Customers can expect coverage of Canadian territories including Alberta, Ontario, Quebec and British Columbia as standard, with packages available exclusively for Quebec or for both Canada and the US. As a general rule, expect to pay $1 - 2 less per month for Quebec only plans, and $3 - 5 more per month for Canada + US packages.
Does Fizz offer coverage in my area?
As an MVNO, Fizz's coverage is powered by Videotron and Freedom Mobile network infrastructure, giving significant 4G and 5G coverage across Canada (covering Alberta, Ontario, Quebec and British Columbia).
If you want to check how good coverage is in your area before signing up for a plan, you can use the dedicated coverage checker on the brand's site to see signal strengths near you.
You'll see 4G and 5G signal strengths, as well as designated subscription areas (areas you must live in to subscribe to Fizz, where the majority of your plan must be used), and which are coverage areas (where you will be covered, but you can't currently live if you wish to join).
Can I really build my own plan?
Absolutely! Fizz lets you choose from 4G and 5G plans, customize data limits, and pick whether your plan includes unlimited texts or unlimited minutes, whether you want voicemail functionality, and whether or not your plan will support international calls. As standard, whichever plan you build, you'll be sent your SIM free, with no joining fees, and you'll be able to cancel or change your plan at any time.
How easy is switching to Fizz? Can I bring my own phone?
Coming from another network? Not a problem - you can build the right plan for you in exactly the same way as you would as a new customer. Fizz offers no joining fees, doesn't lock you in to lengthy contracts, and provides extensive guidance on how to switch on its website. Just set up your ideal plan, get your free SIM, and you can get started with your old phone just as easily as it would be for a new customer purchasing a brand new handset.
Does Fizz offer TV & Internet packages?
If you're in the market for a TV or Internet package, or even a combination of both, you can find these alongside Fizz's mobile offering, with comparable customization options on offer to help ensure your plan meets your specific needs.
With TV packages including major channels like CNN, BBC, Fox, MLB and more, and WiFi 5 connections with unlimited usage supporting up to 2 devices, you can choose a mix of packages starting from $49 per month (25 TV channels and 30 Mbps download speeds).
Internet speeds can rise to 940mbps, and you can add up to 45 TV channels to your package, with options covering sports, news, comedy and international viewing. Note that Fizz TV is only available with a Fizz internet plan. Modems are sent with free shipping and orders can be self-installed or can include professional installation if you'd prefer.

It'll come as no surprise that Fizz regularly offers deals on specific handsets and plans, which can drop the usual price by as much as 75%. Although you will see these year-round, we usually see the biggest and widest-reaching around key holidays such as Christmas and Black Friday. Opt for preloved phones
If you don't need a brand new device, why not check out Fizz's range of preloved handsets? These are refurbished devices which have been inspected and tested to ensure they are close to new condition. Phones are rejected if they are water damaged, stolen, defective (including cracks, dents and dead pixels). The brand also tests battery, vibration, network connection, recharging, and software, then restores devices to factory settings. Any gadgets that aren't up to standard aren't included in the preloved range.
Customers will find one of two condition types: perfect (like-new) or almost perfect (some minor cosmetic blemishes). All handsets are covered by the brand's 15-day returns period, plus a 6-month warranty to protect against faults and defects. Join Fizz Rewards
Fizz has a free loyalty program that lets members earn points on their purchases along with a number of other rewards, including freebies, add-ons and discounts. Signing up is completely free through the brand's site, and once you've joined, you'll earn 10 points for every $1 you spend.
