We are getting closer to Black Friday and Apple has announced its upcoming Season Gifting Event in response, which includes a bonus for anyone looking to buy an iPhone 17 series phone.
From November 28, you'll receive a gift card worth up to $75 when you purchase an iPhone 17 series device from Apple. The gift card is also available if you utilize Apple's current trade-in rebate, which can reduce the cost of your phone by up to $670 (if you trade in an iPhone 16 Pro Max, that is) and remains the best deal available for an unlocked iPhone.
For the most part, this deal may appeal to anyone looking for a pair of AirPods or Apple AirTags at a discount.

Apple iPhone 17 series: receive a gift card up to $75, plus up to $670 off with a trade-in @ Apple
If you're looking to buy an unlocked iPhone 17 series phone, it's certainly worth waiting until Apple's big gifting event. The trade-in bonus alone is worth considering for any unlocked device, while the $75 gift card serves as a bonus to help you acquire some of the necessary accessories with your purchase.
Alternatively, if you're looking for other discounts for the best iPhones, you can usually find some great deals through some of the main carriers. For instance, T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon all have some of the best iPhone deals this Black Friday.
However, it is worth noting that many of these require you to sign up for an often relatively pricey unlimited plan. As such, trading in your old phone for an unlocked device can be a better option for anyone looking to use a cheaper prepaid plan.

iPhone 17: Free with Welcome Unlimited plan @ Verizon
Verizon has the best early Black Friday deal on the
iPhone 17 because when you commit to a 36-month agreement with its $65/month Welcome Unlimited plan for a single line, the carrier discounts the phone to free. Usually, you'd be charged $23.05/month for 36 months to pay off the cost of the iPhone 17, but this deal makes the hardware $0. The only thing you're paying monthly for is the service.

iPhone 17: Free with Welcome Unlimited plan PLUS Apple Watch and iPad @ Verizon
This deal works the same as above, but with a couple of added extras - namely an Apple Watch 11 and an iPad 11, all for free.
The catch is you need to buy cellular coverage for the watch and tablet, but having the option to use the Apple Watch or iPad away from home without needing WiFi is a worthwhile ability to have, if you're willing to spend a little extra.

iPhone 17 Pro: free w/ trade-in + unlimited @ AT&T
New and existing AT&T members can pick up an iPhone 17 Pro for free with trade-in. You'll need to be signed up to one of AT&T's qualifying unlimited plans to get this deal.

iPhone 17 Pro: free with unlimited plan @ Verizon
If you'd rather go pro, you can get the iPhone 17 Pro for no additional cost on Verizon's Ultimate Unlimited plan. It's more expensive than other unlimited plans offered by Verizon (which are available with the base iPhone 17 offer above), but you can absolutely get your money's worth with the smaller of Apple's two latest Pro iPhones.

iPhone 17 Pro Max: $4.99/month w/unlimited plan @ Verizon
Apple's biggest and best iPhone requires a little monthly top-up fee compared to the other new iPhones. But in return for your five bucks a month, you'll get the longest lasting battery life ever we've tested in an iPhone along with stellar cameras. You'll also enjoy blazing performance from the A19 Pro chip, a brighter 6.9-inch display and faster charging.

iPhone 17 Pro Max: $400 off with Premium Unlimited plan @ Xfinity Mobile
You get a guaranteed $400 off of the price of Apple's latest Pro Max with Xfinity's flagship Premium Unlimited plan. If you've got a phone to trade in, you can increase that discount all the way up to $1,100 with a valuable-enough device.
