The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 could look a lot more slick than last year's model, if new images listed on a South Korean e-commerce website are to be believed.
Korean retailer Coupang (opens in new tab), as first noticed by SamMobile (opens in new tab), has listed a clear foldable case for what it claims is the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 3. Images show full renders of what could be the foldable Samsung flagship, along with what the site says are images of phone cases for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3.

Obviously we don't know at this stage whether the leaked case images are genuine, but it wouldn't be a huge surprise given both phones are expected to be revealed at the next Galaxy Unpacked event on August 11.
If they are accurate, then the Z Fold 3 won't look too dissimilar from last year's Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2: the renders show a device with a long and narrow display up front, albeit without a visible camera.
Per 91mobiles (opens in new tab), rumors do suggest that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will have a punch-out camera on the outer front of the device, which brings into question how accurate these images are — though it could be that the camera, if it is there, is lost in the shadow.
Around the back, the leaked images show a camera array without the rounded-rectangular aesthetic that last year's model had, instead opting for a clean oval, similar to the OnePlus 8. Unlike that phone, the cameras on the supposed images of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 sit towards the left, rather than the center of the device.
Based on these images, the Z Fold 3 could arrive clad in muted colors, as opposed to tones that pop. If the images posted online prove to be true, we'll be getting black, white and seafoam green colorways. Occasionally Samsung does reserve special colors for those that buy directly through its website.
The images also show the inside of the device — and if these are genuine renders of the Galaxy Z Fold 3, then here it will again look much like the Z Fold 2. The only difference is that there's no punch-out for the front-facing camera. This would make sense, as according to Korean website The Elec (opens in new tab), Samsung is adding an under-display camera, making it invisible to the eye.
Overall, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 sounds like a strong all-around device based on the rumors we've heard up until now. Not only can it fold out to give a mini tablet experience, it may be even more durable than last year's model per a tweet by noted leaker Max Weinback (opens in new tab) which claims that the Z Fold 3 could include an IPX8 water resistance rating.
We should find out very soon whether these are indeed genuine images of the Z Fold 3, as Samsung is expected to unveil it alongside the similarly rumored Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Watch 4 at its Galaxy Unpacked virtual event on August 11.
