Kusal Mendis’ superb 122 off 77 balls, allied to Samarawickrama’s 108 of 89 balls, underpinned Sri Lanka’s 344-9 after Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to bat first in Hyderabad.. It looked at one stage that it would have been an even bigger total, but only 61 runs came off the last 10 overs.

Pakistan have been underperforming recently for a side ranked best in the world only a few weeks ago. So a match against stumbling Sri Lanka at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad might be just what the doctor ordered. It could allow them to build momentum after their 81-run defeat of minnows Netherlands on this ground. Read on and we'll show you how to watch this enticing match live from anywhere with a VPN, and potentially for FREE.

Sri Lanka have been inconsistent of late. There was a recent run of 13 straight wins, albeit some against modest opposition, and they then upset the odds to make it to the final of the Asia Cup. But in that final they were shot out for 50 by an Indian side who knocked off those runs in a paltry 6.1 overs.

Sri Lanka lost their two world warm-up matches, to Bangladesh and Afghanistan. They then lost their opening world cup match to South Africa after their bowling attack yielded 428 runs, the most conceded ever in a world cup innings. They were never in the match in their own innings once Kusal Mendis fell after a sprightly 76 in which he hit eight sixes.

Pakistan and Sri Lanka have played each other seven times in world cups and Pakistan have won all of these encounters. But their most recent meeting was in the Asia Cup. This was, in effect, a decider as to who played India in the final and Sri Lanka won by two wickets off the last ball.

The day/night match starts at 2pm IST. Here's everything you need to get Pakistan vs Sri Lanka live streams and watch ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 from anywhere.
