Fall brings cozy sweaters and pumpkin spice everything, but one thing that never seems to take a season off: the "Sunday Scaries." What do you do when you're dreading the week ahead? It's time to trade those pre-week worries for some laugh-out-loud comedies that'll leave you in stitches.

If you're craving a cure for the end-of-weekend blues without burning a hole in your pocket, the Roku Channel has your back. It’s one of the best free streaming services, with a large library of movies and shows.

That includes plenty of comedies that span everything from absurd slapstick to sharp-witted satire, all without paying a single cent. Here are a few great comedies you can watch right now on the Roku Channel — all for free.

Senior Bianca Piper (Mae Whitman) is just a regular high school student who's just learned something disturbing from her neighbor, jock Wesley Rush (Robbie Amell) .She's the "DUFF" (Designated Ugly Fat Friend) of her more popular best friends (Bianca Santos and Skyler Samuels). This bombshell comes from the school's queen bee, Madison Morgan (Bella Thorne).

Once she learns how everyone views her, Bianca tries her best to make good on a deal with Wesley: help him pass chemistry class in exchange for a crash course in social reinvention. Except there's nothing wrong with Bianca. She's a witty, cynical senior who loves horror movies and is close with her self-help-obsessed mom (Allison Janney).

Wesley is a popular but surprisingly insightful football player locked in an on-again, off-again relationship with Madison. You can probably tell where this gonna go, but that doesn't mean you should skip its acerbic humor, hilarious one-liners, and fun return to high school days that'll have you yearning to go back, even if these hateful labels aren't so funny.

Radio executive Brad Whitaker (Will Ferrell) is facing the ultimate stepfather's nightmare: the bio dad and how much the kids love him. Dusty Mayron (Mark Wahlberg) is the freeloading, impossibly cool and very muscular biological father of his stepchildren. When Dusty roars back into town on his motorcycle, he forces Brad into a "dad-off" to prove who's the best father.

The problem is that Brad is a loving, sensitive guy who just wants to be the best "co-dad" to his wife Sara's (Linda Cardellini) two children, Megan (Scarlett Estevez) and Dylan (Owen Vaccaro). Dusty, meanwhile, is his exact opposite: he just needs to make himself look better than Brad at all costs in Sara's eyes.

Brad eventually tries to match Dusty's freak, so to speak, which equals a ton of disastrous and escalating competitions as the pair tries to outdo each other. And what can we say? This is a Will Ferrell movie; it'll bring the laughs.

Cady Heron (Lindsay Lohan) is facing an environment more savage than the African savanna she grew up in: an American high school. She finds herself going up against "the Plastics," the school's biggest clique, led by queen bee Regina George (Rachel McAdams) and her followers, Gretchen Wieners (Lacey Chabert) and Karen Smith (Amanda Seyfried).

After Cady befriends social outcasts Janis (Lizzy Caplan) and Damian (Daniel Franzese), she agrees to their plan to infiltrate the Plastics and dismantle their reign from the inside. Cady slowly transforms from the new girl into a calculating Plastic herself. But she finds herself lost in her new persona as she falls for a guy.

Cady has to choose between her new friends in the Plastics and the ones who let her be true to herself. And if you've never seen "Mean Girls," now's the perfect time to watch, since it's one that'll definitely have your sides splitting.
