Netflix top 10 shows — here’s the 3 worth binge-watching this week (Dec. 23-29)
Add these shows to your Netflix watchlist this week
'Tis the season for streaming, and if you're looking to squeeze a couple more Netflix shows in before the year's out, I've got some trending recommendations perfect for filling the last few days of 2025. If you're planning on doing little else but kicking back on the sofa at this time of year, I figure the last thing you want to be doing is scrolling through Netflix (or any of the best streaming services) in search of some new shows to stream.
Here at Tom's Guide, we keep a very close eye on what's hot across all the major streamers so that we can help viewers spend their time on only the very best of what's on offer. The fact is, if you rely on charts like the Netflix top 10 shows list, you can't always guarantee that what's popular is necessarily worth watching.
That's precisely why I regularly whittle the Netflix charts down to just three top picks, so you've always got a list of Netflix recommendations ready to go the next time you're between shows. You can find my Netflix streaming suggestions below, alongside a full rundown of everything that's currently in the Netflix top 10 shows list this week.
This article is based on what was in the Netflix U.S. top 10 as of Tuesday, December 23, 2025.
Best shows in the Netflix top 10
'Emily in Paris'
Everyone's favorite marketing exec, Emily Cooper (Lily Collins), just returned for another season of Darren Star's bingeable Netflix comedy series last week. Now the head of Agence Grateau Rome, Emily's facing fresh professional and romantic challenges as she adapts to life in the Italian capital and beyond — and fans sent the show straight back into the top 10.
Alas, just as everything's falling into place, a work idea backfires, and the fallout cascades into heartbreak and career setbacks, leading Emily to lean further into her French lifestyle. Netflix promises that "Emily in Paris" season 5 will see Emily emerging with "deeper connections, renewed clarity, and a readiness to embrace new possibilities."

'Man Vs. Baby'
Looking to squeeze in one last bit of holiday-themed viewing? How about a quick dose of Christmassy comedy courtesy of "Mr. Bean" creator, Rowan Atkinson?
Yes, after a couple of years away, Atkinson's Netflix bumbling comedy character, Trevor Bingley, is back on our screens. After his house-sitting misadventure in 2022's "Man Vs. Bee," Trevor's given up that line of work in favor of a quieter life as a school caretaker — well, until a very lucrative offer comes in to care for a luxury London penthouse over the holiday period.
The problem? On the last day of term, no one collects the Baby Jesus from the school's nativity performance, leaving Trevor with an undersized and very unexpected companion to burp, and a Christmas that threatens to be nowhere near as calm as he might have hoped.

'Stranger Things'
If you somehow weren't aware, there's a very big event happening in just a couple of days — and I'm not talking about Christmas. Yes, after leaving us on that big cliffhanger reveal, we're now just days out from the release of "Stranger Things" season 5 volume 2, and I'm sure countless Netflix subscribers are currently trying to cook up an excuse to dodge their loved ones and lock themselves away in front of their TV screens (check our "Stranger Things" season 5 release schedule so you know exactly when episodes will drop where you are).
Volume 2, as we've seen in the above trailer, looks like it'll really see the final fight between the Hawkins gang and Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower) getting underway. Vecna's out to establish his "new world," and Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and co. have to stop him. This truly is the beginning of the end, and all signs point to a finale worth streaming. And if you're somehow not caught up just yet, you've got two days to stream Volume 1 in between last-minute holiday prep.

If it’s in the theaters or available to stream somewhere, he’s probably watched it… especially if it has a dragon in it. Before joining the team, he was a Staff Writer at What To Watch where he wrote about a broad range of shows that stretched from "Doctor Who" and "The Witcher" to "Bridgerton" and "Love Island". When he’s not watching the next must-see movie or show, he’s probably still in front of a screen playing massive RPGs, reading, spending a fortune on TCGs, or watching the NFL.
