The satisfaction that comes from solving a puzzle or watching a mystery unfold is unmatched. And one country that's been able to make intricate, high-stakes thrillers that hit incredibly hard is South Korea. "Squid Game" was massively popular for a reason, after all.

Netflix is a streamer that has plenty of Korean content to enjoy. But with all the things available on the service, it's inevitable that some of the brightest gems can fly under the radar.

That’s why we’ve waded through the catalog to uncover some excellent but potentially overlooked Korean thriller shows currently available to stream on Netflix. If you're looking for something to keep you engaged, these are the real deal and then some.

When Park Hae-young (Lee Je-hoon) discovers a mysterious walkie-talkie that allows him to communicate with Detective Lee Jae-han (Cho Jin-woong) across a 20-year time gap, the trio learns to collaborate on long-unsolved cold cases.

However, every case they solve changes the past, which ends up triggering a butterfly effect with events that change more than just details related to each case. While it's true that several cases are solved and victims are able to rest because of it, those affected by the walkie-talkie have to carefully consider their actions so as not to make the situations even worse than before.

Lee Tang (Choi Woo-shik) is a college student who commits murder. But it so happens that he's killed an infamous serial killer. That leads to him realizing that he can actually identify "evil" people in society. But instead of being responsible with his powers, he transforms into a vigilante, killing "wicked" people and feeling guilty along the way.

Detective Jang Nan-gam (Son Suk-ku) is an investigator with a mysterious past who is determined to track down the killer. The pair weave in and out of each other's paths like a cat and mouse game, but not before this "evil" identifier is able to wipe the world clean of potentially innocent people.

Koo Kyung-yi (Lee Young-ae) is a former police officer who now lives as a reclusive gamer and insurance investigator. She's pulled out of her self-imposed isolation with a new case that stirs up her dormant investigative instincts: some bizarre and seemingly unrelated murders that she may be the only one to solve.

Koo Kyung-yi soon realizes she's hunting a female serial killer known only as K (Kim Hye-jun), whose seemingly random acts of violence are more than just that. They're schemes with deep, intricate plans. How far will this former cop have to go to catch K? Probably outside of her apartment, for starters.
