The Google Pixel Tablet is a versatile device, and it just so happens to be a great iPad alternative for anyone who doesn't want Apple's offering.
Usually, the Pixel Tablet is relatively competitive with the iPad in pricing, but Amazon is currently offering a post-Prime Day deal that'll get you the Pixel Tablet for $249, which is quite reasonable for all the device can do. It's worth noting that this deal doesn't include the Pixel Tablet speaker dock, but you can snag the Pixel Tablet with 256GB pf space for $309, which is only $60 more.
Save $150 on Google's Pixel tablet over at Amazon. With it comes excellent screen quality, solid battery life and the ability to control your smart home. You get 128GB of storage, which is enough for most users' needs. For Android fans, you can't go wrong with this deal.
Since Pixel devices don't support microSD cards, you might want to pay for a little bit more storage. The 256GB Pixel Tablet is the exact same device, just with double the free space. Save 38% off the regular price, which is an all-time low price.
The Google Pixel Tablet isn't a perfect device, but it's a very good one for sure. In fact, in our Pixel Tablet review, we gave it a respectable 4-star rating.
Our U.S. Editor in Chief, Mike Prospero, said in the review that "The Google Pixel Tablet is a good tablet to have around the house — especially with its speaker dock/charging station. But you’ll want to look elsewhere if you’re looking for a laptop replacement."
Personally, I don't think using a tablet as a laptop replacement is really a viable option, regardless of whether it's an iPad, Pixel Tablet or something else entirely. We've tested using an Android tablet as a laptop replacement here at Tom's Guide in the past, and we found it to be pretty good, so while it's not ideal, it's doable.
Either way, with the Pixel Tablet, you're getting a device with solid specs (whether you choose the 128GB or 256GB versions) and a big, vibrant screen. And when you add the option to get the speaker dock, it becomes a very cool device to keep around.
Not the mention this being the lowest price ever offered for Google's tablet.
