The prices LCD panels used in TVs remain stable in the first quarter despite the traditional slow season, as demand from China continues to be strong, according to estimates by panel makers and industry observers. The TV panel market is being driven by demand from Chinese vendors who are advancing their panel orders in order to fill up their stock well ahead of the peak season in the second half of the year, during which the TV segment is expected to be hit by a panel shortage.
