June is turning out to be an excellent time for TV deals. Not only are new models hitting store shelves, but they're getting discounts as an incentive to get shoppers to upgrade.

For example, right now Best Buy is taking up to $1,000 off Samsung's new Micro RGB TVs. After discount, prices start at $1,399. Samsung's Micro RGB TVs deliver brighter, purer color than traditional TVs. To achieve this, they use a new LED-based display technology that trades traditional white LEDs for red-, green- and blue-colored LEDs. That allows for better color volume. These new TVs are just hitting the market and multiple screen sizes are now on sale.

Samsung's new Micro RGB TVs are here. This new LED-based display technology trades traditional white LEDs for red-, green- and blue-colored LEDs, which allows for better color volume. The R85H is the less costly alternative, but it doesn't skimp on features. You get Samsungs Micro RGB AI Engine, Motion Xcelerator 144Hz with VRR support, and Dolby Atmos support.

Samsung's R95H is as bright as any Mini-LED TV we've seen. It also boasts a slightly larger color volume. In our initial hands-on testing, we found that scenes from "The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power" looked significantly brighter and richer on the R95H than on the Samsung S95D OLED. This is Samsung's top-of-the-line model and this is one of the first times it's on sale.

We haven't tested these TVs yet, but my colleague and senior TV editor Michael Desjardin got some hands-on time with them earlier this year. He said the R95H holds this distinct advantage over many of the best OLED TVs on the market thanks to the punchier color. In his initial tests, the R95H covers about 92% of the BT.2020 color gamut. That's very close to the 90% score on the Samsung S95F OLED.

Samsung's latest Micro RGB TVs will arrive in 55-, 65-, 75-, 85- and 100-inch screen sizes. The top-shelf R95H will also be available in a gargantuan 130-inch model. Multiple sizes are on sale now at Best Buy from $1,399.
