Retiring eBay CEO Running for CA Governor
Sacramento (CA) - eBay Chief Executive Meg Whitman is already making her post-retirement plans and could be running for California governorship in 2010. According to the Los Angeles Times, 51-year-old Whitman has been talking to top Republican leaders in the past few weeks. Whitman could prove to be a formidable competitor in any political race because she could self-fund any campaign with her personal wealth estimated at $1.4 billion dollars.
Whitman will retire from eBay on March 31st.
