Woman Finds Husband's Other Wife on Facebook

- By - Source : Tom's Guide US

Secret lives aren't so secret on social websites.

Lynn France, a 41-year-old occupational therapist, discovered that her husband married another woman after loading up the rival's Facebook page and discovering around 200 pictures taken at the wedding.

Evidently the revelation was somewhat expected. She suspected that her husband was having an affair when he began to make frequent business trips, however it became obvious when he was supposedly conducting business in China but left his passport behind.

France's window of opportunity eventually opened when her husband forgot to close the web browser on their computer screen, leaving a hotel website open for her to see. Suspicious, she grabbed a friend and went to investigate.

Sure enough, he was there with another woman. France confronted the girlfriend with news that she was his wife, and that they had a new baby (their second son). The woman responded by saying she was engaged to the man. Later on, France discovered that her husband and the girlfriend were in fact registered at Target.

France then headed to Facebook. The woman's page was overwhelming, visually dictating a whole another life her husband had been conducting. France confronted her husband who in turn reassured her that he had no intentions of going through with the supposed marriage.

Later France discovered the wedding pictures. She filed for divorce.

Since then, the whole situation has become a legal mess. The husband, John France, insisted that he was never married to Lynn in the first place. He also claimed that she knew about the marriage the whole time, and has made the Facebook discovery public in order to get attention. He claims that she's losing the court battle for custody of their two sons, and the publicity is merely a ploy.

According to the Associated Press, the two were married in July 2005 in a seaside wedding on Italy's Amalfi Coast--the event was organized through Regency San Marino. However against the advice of her lawyers, France dropped the divorce proceedings when John returned in June 2009 and persuaded her to reconcile. Three months later he took off with the two boys.

"He threw them in, no car seats, no nothing, and took off," she said.

Ironically, the only way she gets to see her two boys is through the other woman's Facebook page. "It's stranger than fiction to watch this woman living my life," she said.

Don't punish the guy. If he has 2 wives he's already gotten his punishment.

I believe they meant the wedding gift registry, which shows you what sort of stuff the man was made of*.

*People are generally made of FAIL.

Must be nice to be so loaded you can afford a second marriage. Obviously the second wife doesn't threaten him intellectually as he convinced that one to accept him after everything went down.

She should have left @ this point... Seriously how dumb can you be?!
I know when you "love" someone it is hard to make proper decisions and whatnot but this is a lot more then a one night stand drunken error!

Seriously, i think France has a serious self respect problem. Oh, and the husband makes us all look bad, he's pathetic. Yhis realy is a Springer episode!

Look guys put all this in perspective...what employed, mentally stable woman does not get custody of the kids in a separation? We are not getting the whole story here.

How is it that the birth mother of 2 sons is not able to see them in person? Even if the father has physical custody, she would surely get some visitation rights. It sounds like either he is in violation of the law, or there are paragraphs of information deleted from the story.

I saw this story yesterday. The guy must have tons of cash because he is old, and butt ugly and both wives are smokin hot. He is also saying that the marriage to his first wife wasn't valid because the papers weren't filed properly or something (he probably planned it that way).

The other woman looked like the first wife but just a slightly younger model. He will probably do the same thing to her in a couple of years.

It does serve her right if she did marry him for the money, but I still feel sorry for the woman having her 2 kids taken away from her and the new wife is now the mom... thats pretty bad.

She should have took her children elsewhere. "Women have a brain half the size of a man's, it's science." "Their menstruation attracts bears!"

I would say: Why an employed, mentally stable woman would want to get custody of the kids in separation?

OK, I know this is just rehash from a mediocre internet reporter hack.... But seriously? Does anyone edit this crap?

I cringed when I read "a whole another life". Really?
How about "another life" or "a whole other life". Someone at least attempt to edit the copy a little...

Geez....

Normally when you get married you and your wife get registered at a retail store for gifts and such. (IE Target,Wallyworld...ect, ect)I believe they hold a list of thing the couple would like and people can pick and chose what to buy them as wedding gifts.

Now that would make a great story ... I can see Markus, Kevin and Jane fighting over who gets to release it first.

Tuan would possibly need to ajudicate this one.

You do realise the heading would be something like this though:

"Man leaves wife for new high end computer ... "

or ...

"Wife leaves husband for Laptop" ...

:)
