Real talk: The Apple Watch SE 3 is my favorite model in the 2025 series. Though it lacks some of the higher-end wellness tech of its pricier siblings, it covers all the basics, with impressive sleep insights, loads of fitness tracking and training tools, useful safety features, and no shortage of apps.

The Apple Watch Series 11 is currently selling for its all-time lowest price of $329 for the 42mm GPS model, or $70 off. Longer lasting than the SE 3, it gets up to 24 hours per charge versus 18 hours. The Series 11 also has a brighter screen and state-of-the-art life-saving wellness tools, including hypertension alerts. All this adds up to the best Apple Watch for most people in 2025.

The Garmin Instinct 3 is not only my favorite Garmin release of 2025, but my top smartwatch for tracking hikes and other outdoor adventures. And it's finally on sale! Save $100 off the 45mm Solar model. While the AMOLED Instinct 3 is also discounted, it isn't nearly as long-lasting. That said, all Instinct 3 variations offer rock-solid location and elevation tracking with support for an enormous range of activity types. A shock-proof design with 100 meters of water resistance, along with a built-in LED flashlight, only adds to its appeal.

The Garmin Venu 4 is a stylish and long-lasting smartwatch with just the right amount of fitness tracking and wellness monitoring tech to meet the needs of most folks. With an ultra-bright AMOLED screen, and smart features including support for NFC payments and Google Maps, onboard music storage, a mic and speaker for taking calls from a paired phone, and loads of safety tools, it's easily Garmin's closest competitor to the Apple Watch 11 above.

The Google Pixel Watch 4 is the best smartwatch for Android in 2025, specifically, the larger 45mm model. It boasts a slightly larger screen than the 41mm model (also on sale), along with superior battery life. In my testing, the 45mm Pixel Watch 4 lasts for up to 60 hours per charge. You also get comprehensive wellness and fitness tracking tools and access to the best AI-powered smartwatch voice assistant, Gemini.

Samsung's latest Galaxy Watch 8 smartwatch is on sale for a respectable 29% off during Cyber Monday, its biggest discount yet. With an updated 'cushion' style case, an ultra-bright AMOLED screen, and seriously impressive AI-powered wellness tools and insights, it's no wonder we chose the Galaxy Watch 8 as one of the best smartwatch models of the year.

Samsung brought back the fan-favorite 'Classic' edition of its flagship smartwatch for 2025. The Galaxy Watch 8 Classic boasts a useful and fidget-friendly clicky bezel for navigation and extra customizable buttons on the side of the case. That said, the guts are essentially the same as the standard Galaxy Watch 8. However, the Classic is much longer-lasting.
