This year's Black Friday deals will be the first time Nintendo's new consoles, the Switch 2 will see a sale season. If you're looking for great deals surrounding the Nintendo Switch 2, Tom's Guide is tracking them down.
The console itself isn't on sale, but there are savings to be found. A personal favorite is the Nintendo Switch 2 and Pokémon Legends Bundle at Best Buy for $499—a $20 savings versus purchasing them separately.

Most every EA-made game is on sale for Black Friday through December 4. You'll notice the biggest discounts on older games and ones from EA Sports.
For the Switch specifically, these include Madden 26 and FC26.

I am a Luigi stan and Luigi's Mansion 3 might be one of his best games, if you don't count the Mario Kart 8 staredown.
The Switch title is on sale for Black Friday, knocking $20 off. The third in the mansion series is a gem of a game and something you should add to your library.
The physical version is on sale but so is the digital version in the Nintendo eShop where a bundle with DLC is also available.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons
If you didn't join the Animal Crossing: New Horizons train in 2020, now is a great time to hop aboard.
There have been multiple additions and updates in the last five years making it one of the most expansive Animal Crossing titles yet.

Snag this discounted Switch 2 controller over the Pro pad
Joy-Con 2s may not be your style, I agree, and prefer a proper controller. The Switch 2 Pro controller is great, but very pricey, and not on sale.
Instead, consider the PDP Afterglow Wave on sale for $49 at Amazon as an alternative. It has a similar design as the Pro Controller but also sports colorful RGB light strips and is wireless.

Battle for the Greek Gods
This one isn't exactly a deal, as Hades 2 isn't on sale, but with Switch 2 game prices hitting $70 or more, this game of the year contender only costing $50 is practically a steal.
The sequel dials up the rogue-lite formula of the original as you take on a quest to defeat Chronos, the titan of time. This time, you play as Melinoë, Princess of the Underworld. Each run gets you new abilities and more unlocks. And much like the first Hades, your first successful run is only the beginning. There are hours and hours of gameplay here that more than justify the price.

Pokemon Legends: Z-A bundle out of stock - how to find it
If you're looking for the Pokemon Legends: Z-A Nintendo Switch 2 bundle, you'll have to do a little hunting as it's out of stock at some retailers.
Currently, it is unavailable at Nintendo.com and Target.
However, you can purchase the bundle online from GameStop. Best Buy has the bundle, but only if you pick it up in store. You'll want to call ahead to your local store to make sure they have stock.

Trust the Force
We first noticed Star Wars Outlaws on sale for $39 and thought it was a solid deal. Now, Amazon has dropped the price by another $9, bringing it down to $30. At that point, it becomes a true no-brainer.
If you haven't tried Outlaws, it's a great title that actually improves on the standard Ubisoft icons on a map formula with its Star Wars flavoring.

Studies have shown that most gamers play on multiple consoles.
If you prefer to have the Switch for Nintendo titles and more on-the-go games and another console for full couch time, then you might want to take a look at the PlayStation Black Friday deals.
Unlike Nintendo, PS5 consoles are on sale, plus a variety of accessories, games and more.
Try pre-owned for some savings
Buying brand new usually means you're getting a pristine machine that should work right out of the box. However, that means the upfront cost is higher.
GameStop remains one of the few places you can get a pre-owned system for slightly less than the cost of a new Switch 2.
Right now, you can get a pre-owned Switch 2 for $10 off, $32 if you're a GameStop Pro member.
“Exactly what a remastered re-release should be”
We gave Sonic x Shadow Generations a glowing 4-star review, saying the game was “exactly what a remastered re-release should be.” We loved the level design, the soundtrack and the faithful remastering, that made this game the perfect touch of nostalgia.
Right now, it’s 50% off at Amazon for Black Friday, so if you’ve been holding off buying this game because of the price, well, it looks like that’s no longer a problem.
Hit the decks!
Remember, the Switch 2 isn’t the only handheld in existence! Valve is currently offering discounts on the Steam Deck, with the 256GB LED Steam Deck currently 20% off at Steam.
As we said in our Steam Deck review, the deck is “the Nintendo Switch for adults”. Sturdy, yet lightweight and comfortable to hold, the Steam Deck can run PC games via its Linux-based SteamOS, giving you a huge library of games at your disposal. If you already have a Steam library, it could be the handheld for you.

Will we see a discount on the Piranha Plant camera?
Pete Wolinski here, I run the Tom’s Guide reviews team. I think the Switch 2 deals are already pretty good this year. However, the deal I’m waiting to see is on the Hori Piranha Plant camera for the Switch 2. It’s silly. It’s lanky. Its camera isn’t even that good. But I love it.
We have a few of them dotted around our U.K. testing lab and it never fails to put a smile on my face walking into the office and seeing the Piranha plants wobbling around on top of monitors. I mean, just look at it! It's so cute.
So far, no deals on this one yet, so it’s still $39 at Amazon, but I’m holding out hope for a discount soon!
How about a 5-star, Editor’s Choice gaming headset?
The SteelSeries Arctis Nova 5 — a gaming headset that scored an ultra-rare full 5-star score in our review — is currently on sale with a huge $45 off at Amazon.

This is still one of Rockstar's most gripping games (and it's on sale)
The savings are modest, but L.A. Noire remains one of Rockstar's most innovative and gripping games over a decade after its original release. This noir detective thriller still holds up thanks to it's use of facial animation technology, where you're read suspects' expressions to determine if they're lying, and it's still really effective.
The 1940s Los Angeles setting is meticulously recreated, and the case-by-case structure keeps you hooked as you solve crimes and climb the LAPD ranks. If you missed it originally or want a unique detective experience on Switch, this is still one of the most compelling narrative-driven games Rockstar has made.

Nintendo-themed fun
There are plenty of Nintendo deals to enjoy, but you may be looking for Nintendo-related items to stuff some stockings or as presents this holiday season.
Here is a trio that we think everyone, from kids to adults, will enjoy.
First is a series of encyclopedias for The Legend of Zelda series. One is a general encyclopedia with a blue cover, the green cover is the history of Hyrule while the red book covers art and artifacts. All three books are 20% off.
A personal favorite is the Mario Kart-themed Hot Wheels Bowser's Castle set, which includes a Kamek die-cast racer. The Mario Kart hot wheels cars are awesome and Bowser's Castle is the best set that isn't Rainbow Road. The deal at Amazon knocks $30 off the price.

Official Nintendo accessories aren't on sale this Black Friday. However, if you're planning on picking up the Mario Kart World Switch 2 bundle you might want to consider picking up a set of Joy Con 2 Wheels.

The pack comes with two wheels, one with an orange ring and the other with teal.
Nintendo Cyber deals
I've been highlighting a lot of physical deals, including Switch 2 consoles, games and accessories. However, Nintendo is also offering discounts on select games in its digital store.
These include 50% off on Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, Split Fiction for $39.99, and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 for 40% off.
There are a lot more, and Nintendo says these discounts will last through December 3.
Zelda's turn to shine
Princess Zelda has been an important part of the Legend of Zelda series since its beginning but has rarely gotten to shine on her own. The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom rectifies that with an art style similar to the Link's Awakening remake.

Any Final Fantasy fan who wants to relive the classic games needs to buy this collection. Can you really beat getting six incredible games for $39? From a pure value perspective, this is as good as it gets.

Do you love Pokemon? Of course you do, everyone loves Pokemon.

The iconic wizarding school has seriously cozy vibes, and in this RPG, you can explore the castle and surrounding area for dozens of hours. The Switch 2 version also introduces significant improvements over the Switch 1, removing various loading screens in the open world, and enhancing both framerate and image resolution.

Whenever I'm settling in for a lengthy Switch 2 session on my TV, I prefer a proper controller rather than the Joy-Con 2s, and while the Switch 2 Pro controller is great, it's also pretty pricey. Bundle Up
For Black Friday, Nintendo isn't putting the console itself on sale, but you're best bet to save some money is to pick up a bundle.
Right now, the best deal is either the Switch 2 Mario Kart Bundle or the Switch 2 Pokémon Legends Z-A Bundle. Both bundles include the console and a flagship game.
Mario Kart will save you $30 compared to buying the console and game separately. Pokemon saves you $20. Both are decent savings that include an in-demand console and a must-have new game.

Excellent Paper Mario remake on sale
The classic Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door received a remake in 2024 with updated graphics, music, and some modern quality-of-life improvements.
It remains a classic even in the Switch update.
Annoyingly, it is on sale, but it's one of those deals where you can only see the price once it's in a cart on some retailers.
Your best bets right now are at Target and Best Buy. But the game is for sale at Amazon and Walmart, though the discount is far less.

This one isn't exactly a deal, as Hades 2 isn't on sale, but with Switch 2 game prices hitting $70 or more, this game of the year contender only costing $50 is practically a steal.
The sequel dials up the rogue-lite formula of the original as you take on a quest to defeat Chronos, the titan of time. This time, you play as Melinoë, Princess of the Underworld. Each run gets you new abilities and more unlocks. And much like the first Hades, your first successful run is only the beginning. There are hours and hours of gameplay here that more than justify the price.

Whether you're buying a Switch 2 for yourself or a loved one, you're going to want some protection for this expensive console.

A mouthful of a Switch 2 deal
Howdy! I'm Alyse, Tom's Guide's weekend editor taking over for Rory. I just got a Switch 2 for my birthday last week for one game and one game only: Kirby Air Riders 2. I was obsessed with the GameCube version growing up, and I'm super excited to dive back into City Trial and wreak havoc on any of my friends who dare try to collect all the pieces of a legendary vehicle. Since the game just came out, we're not likely to see any deals for it this Black Friday. But you can get $10 off another superb entry in the series at Walmart right now: Kirby and the Forgotten Land. A Switch 2 deal for my fellow soccer fans
While I'm on the subject of playing sports games on the go, the Switch 2 version of EA Sports FC 26 is also on sale for $29 at Amazon. That's a 57% discount. When I reviewed the PS5 port of the latest soccer sim, I did have some issues with the increasingly stale modes, but on pitch, FC 26 is still the best digital recreation of the biggest sport in the world. Being able to play a quick game on Switch 2 is a treat.

Take Madden anywhere for just $29
The novelty of having a sports game on the go via the Nintendo Switch and its successor still hasn't worn off for me. I'm very much a soccer guy, but I know that Madden is the true king (at least in the U.S.). And the good news is that Madden NFL 26 is on sale for $29, which is almost $60 off its full retail price of $59. This is a feature-complete version of the latest Madden game that you can take anywhere.

Switch 2's biggest game is $10 off for Black Friday
If you didn't pick up the Switch 2 Mario Kart Bundle at launch, and want to circle back to scoop up Mario's latest racing title, Mario Kart World is now $10 discounted at Woot (which is an Amazon company). Even at $70, it's pretty pricey for just a single video game, but Nintendo isn't known for discounting its biggest games, and so that makes this $10 off deal quite a big deal. Plus, you just know you're going to want a copy of Mario Kart for friendly competition with your family over the holidays.

No Switch 2 restock nightmare this holiday season
Cast your mind back to November 2020, and it was virtually impossible to find a PS5 or Xbox Series X in stock. Even the following year, in 2021, it was just as tricky. Fortunately, Switch 2 hasn't suffered from the same shortages. Picking up a console for the holiday is as easy as heading over to your retailer of choice and making your purchase. Star Wars Outlaws was a pleasant little surprise last year, and now this galaxy-spanning adventure is on the Nintendo Switch 2. And even better, it's one of the console's best blockbuster ports, looking and running very well on Nintendo's portable machine. It's a Black Friday deal that convinced me to click the "buy now" button, and I'm looking forward to diving into an open-world Star Wars adventure on my holiday travels.
