For someone who writes about decluttering for a living, I’m also guilty of having an abundance of toiletries or cosmetics sitting on my dressing table or bathroom. And despite my best efforts at keeping the small things in their place, it often ends up looking like a cluttered mess.
From cotton balls and bath salts to earrings and other trinkets, I needed something functional yet stylish to spruce up my space. Just when I thought I’d have to spend a fortune, I came across this cheap, organizing gem from IKEA that ticked all the boxes.
The IKEA SAXBORGA jar set for $13 comes with a cork lid and tray. What’s more, it was originally priced at $19, so it’s even more of a bargain buy. Not only do these instantly banish unsightly clutter, but solves two of my biggest issues in one. Here’s why.
The jars and cork tray offer a simple yet stylish solution for organizing smaller items, allowing you to easily find what you need. These are also multifunctional and small enough to easily store or hide in a cabinet.
Why I love the IKEA SAXBORGA Jar Set
Perhaps what I love most about these handy containers are they keep all my small items organized in seconds. I’ve been using these to store bathroom essentials such as Q-tips (cotton buds), cotton balls, and even my relaxing bath salts that were usually in large, fancy boxes, taking up valuable space.
These jars are a great way to maximize surface space in my small bathroom, and I can actually see at a glance what I’m looking for in a hurry.
Another gripe I have (besides clutter) is unsightly packaging taking over surfaces and ruining the overall aesthetic. These jars are a great way to decant and attractively display your items, plus their cork lids and tray add a contemporary style.
What’s more, these are great multipurpose storage, meaning they can be used for virtually any small item you have lying around. Not bad for just $13, which is a steal, and I’m tempted to buy more for every room in my home.

If you’re looking for more bargains, check out these IKEA items I'd pick up for my bathroom — and they're all under $10.
