My apartment looks way more expensive than it is thanks to these Amazon finds — and they’re all under $50
Decorating on a budget is kind of my thing
Home décor has always held a special place in my heart — but the truth of the matter is, updating your home can quickly become expensive. Fortunately, one of my favorite past times is challenging myself by setting a modest budget for decor and furniture. And when it comes to affordable finds, Amazon is almost always my go-to.
Case in point: I've decorated my entire apartment with items that look expensive — but they're all under $50 on Amazon. It took some savvy shopping and a little research but luckily, deal-hunting is my specialty. That's why I've decided to share all my favorite affordable home decor pieces below, and I've even included pictures of how I styled the items in my home.
I'm starting to realize I might have overdone it with the sage green accents (my favorite color), but fortunately, most of these items come in tons of different colors as well. Keep scrolling to check out all the items in my apartment that look expensive but are actually insanely affordable.
Dining Area
If you're looking to add a unique floral piece to your home, this vase will do the trick. The ceramic vase is the perfect centerpiece for all rooms. I styled it on my dining room table and I feel like it really elevates the space.

When I don't have a fresh bouquet of flowers, these artificial chrysanthemum flowers are the next best thing for my vase. They come with 12 pieces and are available in a wide array of colors. Of course, they're not as good as the real thing but for just $19, they get the job done with style!

These are a bit different than the placemats I have, but they're the same color and come in a set of 4. I thought they paired nicely with the sage floral vase and contrast with the dark wooden table.

Changing up your throw pillows doesn't need to be expensive — just grab these sage green pillow covers to spruce things up for the season. They can go right over your existing pillows, just make sure you order the correct size. They come in a bunch of different colors, too. (Unfortunately, the cute little dog lounging on the pillows does not come with the purchase).

A gallery wall is the perfect way to add a personal touch to your home and put your favorite memories on display. I purchased my gallery wall from the brand Mixtiles, but this Amazon option looks very similar and is a fraction of the price.

I mostly like solid colors when it comes to my decor, but sometimes I like to shake it up with a little bit of pattern — and a throw blanket is the perfect way to do so. I love my Snuggle Sac blanket in leopard print. It's cute and cozy. It also comes in a wide range of hues to match your color scheme.

This rug runner is perfect for kitchen, hallways, entryways and more. I added it to my small galley kitchen for an extra touch of style. The best part is that you can simply throw it in the wash if it gets dirty.

Bedroom
This vintage-looking set includes 4 framed botanical prints that I felt fit the theme with the rest of my apartment. The print on wooden frame is thick and somewhat textured, making them look expensive and not like cheap poster paper. It's a simple touch that can go a long way.

Bathroom
I love all things scalloped — and this set of storage baskets are no exception. I recently bought this set and put one in my bathroom for toilet paper, as well as one in my bedroom as a catch all for keys, wallets and more. They're super versatile and stylish.
