‘I have thrown everything at this cooker, and it has performed exceptionally’ — why users are raving about Ninja’s 10-in-1 cookpot for winter meals
Ninja appliances are among the most sought-after cooking products, and most people will find at least one of the brand’s gadgets in their kitchens. They are well-designed, built to last and have a certain kudos that’s hard to beat.
What’s more, from testing a whole array of Ninja products at Tom’s Guide, there are plenty that have made it into our buying guides as products we’d strongly recommend — from the best air fryers, to the best blenders, and grills. And we mustn’t forget the Ninja Creami Swirl, which makes delicious soft-serve ice cream.
But there’s one Ninja appliance that is getting a lot of attention right now, and it’s a multi-function product that I think is a buy fit for the colder months. Ninja’s 10-in-1 Everyday Possible Cooker Pro, $129 at SharkNinja, doesn’t just look the part; it delivers the goods, too.
Designed to de-clutter your kitchen, this multi-cooker is a tour-de-force when it comes to versatility. It has: slow cook, saute, braise, white rice, brown rice, oats, and pasta settings, eradicating the need for separate appliances.
U.K.-based shoppers can find the Foodi 8-in-1 PossibleCooker for £149 right now at Amazon. It can Slow Cook, Sear, Braise, Steam and more.
The Ninja Foodi Possible Cooker can be used as a slow cooker, imagine all those hearty winter stews you can make, and it can sear, braise, keep warm, and cook white rice, brown rice, oats and pasta.
Apart from having eight cooking functions, it replaces 10 kitchen tools, including a slow cooker, food warmer, nonstick pot, sauté pan, cast iron skillet, saucier, saucepan, stock pot, rice cooker, and Dutch oven. Apart from saving you space in your kitchen, it will sit neatly on your countertop and free up your cooktop when you need extra capacity for entertaining.
The controls are located on a digital touch panel on the front and allow you to choose your desired cooking, function, temperature and time by touching the up/down arrows.
Why users love it
Why do I find it appealing? I love the idea of having a one-pot pan. For hearty family meals, this means piling your protein, grains, and vegetables into one pot and letting it do the hard work. And according to Ninja, it cooks 30% faster than traditional cooking methods, and rice 50% faster than a rice cooker. It also has a 6.5-quart capacity and will fit four 6-oz chicken breasts or a 7-lb roast to feed six people, plus it’s oven-safe up to 500°F.
Aside from looking pretty cool on your kitchen countertop, it won’t look out of place on your table, keeping the food warm, while you help yourself with the rice spoon that’s included with the pot. The cool-touch side handles on the base will also ensure there are no accidents when using the pot, and the oven-safe glass lid lets you take a peek inside while everything is cooking.
You don’t get a great deal of color choice with this Ninja workhorse, but I do rather like the Seasalt Grey colorway, and the handles of the pot are finished in stainless steel.
What do users think? The Ninja 10-in-1 Everyday Possible Cooker Pro scores an average rating of 4.5 stars out of 5, from 110 reviews on SharkNinja’s website. One reviewer says, “I have thrown everything at this cooker, and it has performed exceptionally,” adding, “It just works, and has a very small learning curve.”
While another adds, “There’s so many things you can make in it. Rice comes out perfect, the slow cooker option is awesome, oatmeal, you can even bake stuff in this thing.”
