Starting mid-April, you can get 50% off main meals in-store at IKEA every Wednesday. You need to be an IKEA Family member to get the discount, but it's free to sign up. The offer is already live and will run in select stores until June 24. (You can check the availability at IKEA online.)

But why Wednesday? Well, IKEA has introduced it as a way to celebrate Lillördag (AKA “Little Saturday”) to make the middle of the week a bit more magical. But honestly, I'm not concerned about the reason, I'll happily take any discount offered on some tasty IKEA meatballs.

The offer will get you 50% off main menu items, making this a very affordable midweek meal. Just some of the options include:

  • Mac & cheese: £2.25
  • Sausage & mash: £2.45
  • 8 plant balls & chips: £2.75
  • 8 meatballs & chips: £2.95
