Thought you had seen the last of Pennywise? Not a chance. The grinning clown is back ... or maybe, I should say he's just getting started. Set in 1962, decades before the Losers Club ever stepped foot in the sewers, this prequel returns to Stephen King’s most cursed zip code: Derry, Maine. When a local boy vanishes, a new family discovers that the town’s darkness runs far deeper than they ever imagined.

Bill Skarsgård slips once more into that nightmare grin as Andy and Barbara Muschietti expand their "It" universe into a nine-part odyssey of dread, legend and lurking evil. Keep the lights on for this one.

Season 2 leans into the funny, messy and uncomfortably real work of staying together. Creator Erin Foster widens the lens with fresh faces, including Miles Fowler, Arian Moayed, Alex Karpovsky, and Leighton Meester (Brody’s real-life wife), who introduce new hijinks to the table.

Kathryn Bigelow is a master of difficult, but extremely relevant, cinema, and “A House of Dynamite” is the latest example. The Oscar-winning director behind “The Hurt Locker” and “Zero Dark Thirty” returns with another unflinching political thriller that starts with one missile and ends with every nerve frayed.

Idris Elba stars as the U.S. president facing the unthinkable: a nuclear strike on Chicago with no clear culprit. Told in near real time, the film is tense, relentless and disturbingly plausible — the kind of movie that’ll keep you thinking for days afterward.

The cradle rocks again. Hulu remakes the 1992 psychological thriller for new generation, with Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Caitlin Morales, a suburban mom whose perfect life begins to fray when she hires a nanny named Polly (Maika Monroe).

Sweet smiles and lullabies hide sinister motives, and soon become manipulation and terror. Director Michelle Garza Cervera promises a story with gray-area characters and fresh surprises that honor the original while standing on its own.
