It’s not always simple deciding what to watch on Prime Video, mainly because the top 10 never stays the same. With several trending titles grabbing attention, it’s hard to separate the hits from the hype. And thanks to frequent new additions, there’s always more to sift through every week.

That’s where we make it easier, so you spend less time searching. By focusing on what’s trending at the moment, we’ve chosen three standout series to watch this week, all of which have recently returned with new seasons.

That includes a brutal superhero drama holding the No. 1 spot following the release of its final season, my all-time favorite dark thriller series, and Guy Ritchie’s spin on a younger Sherlock, which has already been renewed for a second season.

‘The Boys’

“The Boys” are back in action, because the first three episodes of season 5 are now streaming on Prime Video. Of course, there won’t be any spoilers here if you haven’t delved into the final season yet, but it’s already been an intense ride. These episodes don’t hold back, packing in plenty of gore, shocking twists, and that dark humor fans love. This final chapter looks set to challenge both its characters and viewers as everything edges closer to chaos. I’m nervous for the end.

Season 5 picks up with Homelander (Antony Starr) tightening his control over the country while key members of the group — Hughie (Jack Quaid), Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso), and Frenchie (Tomer Capone) — are held in a supe-run detention camp. Annie (Erin Moriarty) leads a resistance as Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) resurfaces with a deadly virus capable of killing all Supes. As the team regroups, they attempt a risky rescue mission and plan to use the virus against Homelander.

‘From’

I don’t think I’ll ever stop talking about “From.” Every time, it’s to point out how criminally overlooked it still is, and to tell more people to start watching. It’s genuinely one of the strongest shows out right now, and with season 4 hitting MGM+ on April 19, this is the moment to get into it. I’m seriously counting down the days. Season 3 didn’t just deliver, it raised the bar completely. At this point, it absolutely deserves to be in the conversation for best shows on TV right now.

“From” follows a group of strangers who become trapped in a remote American town with no way out. Anyone who enters quickly discovers the roads loop endlessly, preventing escape. As new arrivals like the Matthews family try to understand what’s happening, they join a community led by Boyd (Harold Perrineau), who acts as the sheriff. During the day, residents search for answers and clues about the town’s origins. At night, human-like creatures emerge from the surrounding forest, forcing everyone indoors to survive.

‘Young Sherlock’

Watch On

I’ve included “Young Sherlock” quite a few times on this list since it first dropped in March, but it definitely deserves to be featured again now that it’s been renewed for a second season. For those who enjoyed it, it’s the perfect excuse to revisit it and celebrate the renewal, and for anyone who’s had it sitting on their watchlist, this is your sign to finally dive in. The renewal really confirms it was a blast to watch, and I genuinely had a great time with it.

“Young Sherlock” follows a 19-year-old Sherlock Holmes (Hero Fiennes Tiffin) sent to Oxford University after a run-in with the law. Far from the polished detective he will become, he is impulsive, unpredictable, and struggling to find direction. When a murder occurs on campus, Sherlock becomes both suspect and investigator, forcing him to clear his name while uncovering a wider conspiracy linked to stolen artefacts and political figures. Alongside new friends, including a young James Moriarty (Dónal Finn), he travels beyond England as the case escalates.
