Paramount+ is a great streaming service for building your next movie marathon. It adds dozens of movies at the beginning of each month. It added 82 new movies and shows this May alone. Plus, it adds new movies from Paramount Skydance studios on an ongoing basis, a few of which I'll discuss momentarily.
So with all these newly added movies to choose from, it can be tough to know which movie to start with. The good news for you is that I've looked through the full list, and I've found the three movies you need to watch first this weekend. There's a pair of new horror movies you'll want to check out first. "Scream 7" is the latest installment in the slasher franchise and one of the biggest movies of the year, and "Slanted" is a body horror flick with a premise you won't see coming. Finally, if you like to watch Jason Statham beat up people, "The Mechanic" is a newly added movie you'll want to add to your watchlist.

'Scream 7' (2026)
Genre: Slasher horror movie
What's it about? The latest "Scream" movie brings back Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott. She's rebuilt her life in Indiana and has hoped to leave Ghostface in the past, but when he reveals himself to her and targets her daughter, Tatum (Isabel May), she and Gale Weathers (Courtney Cox) team up to take down the masked murderer.
Why you should watch it: If you're a "Scream" completionist or need to see every horror movie, then you'll want to check out "Scream 7." Just know that critics did not like this movie, at least according to Rotten Tomatoes.

'Slanted' (2026)
Genre: Body horror–comedy movie
What's it about? Joan Huang (Shirley Chen) is a Chinese-American high school girl. She's a typical high school teen, desperate to be prom queen when one of the popular girls (Amelie Zilber) suddenly isn't running, but she can't connect with her white classmates. But she takes a highly atypical step to get the crown; she turns to Ethnos, a clinic that specializes in ethnic modification surgery. The result turns her into a white girl (played by McKenna Grace), hoping she'll finally be accepted by her peers.
Why you should watch it: If you can get on board with this movie's inarguably provocative themes, then this body horror-comedy is definitely one to watch. It feels like a combination of "The Substance" and "White Chicks," which is enough to make me intrigued.

'The Mechanic' (2011)
Genre: Action thriller movie
What's it about? Arthur Bishop (Jason Statham) is an experienced hitman, given the unfortunate task of taking out his mentor, Harry (Donald Sutherland). He does it, but then takes Harry's son, Steve (Ben Foster), under his wing, and that leads to some complications at work.
Why you should watch it: "Jason Statham beats people up" is a beloved subgenre of the action thriller oeuvre. Even the bad ones tend to be enjoyable to watch, and there's far worse than "The Mechanic."
