Fans Make Modern Warfare 2 Movie for $209.42
You guys play way too much MW2.
News flash: gamers play a LOT of Modern Warfare 2. Infinity Ward tweeted that Modern Warfare 2 players have invested more than 1.75 billion hours (200,000+ yrs) of gameplay on Xbox Live alone since release. Kotaku has a pretty good look at what 200,000 years is like.
Then there are those guys who love Modern Warfare 2, but do a lot more than just play it online. A group of filmmaking fans have created a Modern Warfare 2 short film that supposedly cost $209.42. Of course, these film guys aren't accounting for the talent and equipment, as they probably had all of that on hand from their day jobs at Corridor Digital.

Awesome!
At least it was better than MW2 PC version....
Kudos to the guys/gals who made it.
Um...the bullet would arrive long before the sound. FAIL!
Jeez you don't have to be so negative. Cut them a little slack will you? It's a 200 dollar movie.
I thought it was awesome and creative.
That is cool!!
I thought I was actually playing the game.
I wish Hollywood would give the fans what they want.
They need to go remake the Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat movies.
Wow that is a bad ass fan made film.
Cost almost as much as two copies of MW2 + DLC.
the idea of a bunch of guys running around like they we're in a video game didn't seem so great at first, but that was actually really well done.
That was amazing!
That was the most LEGIT MW2 movie I have seen to date. Probably the best cheap, video game based one ever.
Great job.
Okay so I was skeptic but I found myself enthralled with it and a bit disappointed that it wasn't longer (but only because I wanted to see more). They did an excellent job. Kudos to them.
Awsome video. Better then some higher budget films in hollywood. Hope to see Part II sometime soon
No complain for gun, setting, CG, except one thing, costume. Good guy and bad guy, all the same.
Um...the bullet would arrive long before the sound. FAIL!
Well, it is MW2. Not like realism is a big deal.
Also, depends on distance and the gun.
I thought it was meh. Good work overall, but... Eh. And like the article said, they aren't account for the equipment they already had on hand, which makes the figure of $209.42 a bit unfair.
Great job, I really enjoyed it... waiting for part 2 now ^_^!
pretty well done. Theres a lot of horrid shit out there that makes on onto youtube. They do have a great deal of equipment. Not to shy them away from a good short movie
While there was a few things I caught that wanted me to make me slap them since their supposed to be pros. But for what it was it was actually pretty interesting. And I specially liked the camera work when it came to the shootings had just enough blood to be real but not over exaggerated. Except the jets coming all the way down to blow the bridge up lol, but that was funny none the less.
this is stupid. All of the guys look like skinny-fat out of shape slobs with wobbly knees and manginas uner their ill fitting surplus bought cammies. It'd be ok for a high school film project or private viewing, but is a total waste of time for anyone other than their parents and boyfriends. I'd be ashamed to show this to anyone. At least look the part if you want to imitate real soldiers/marines. Don't show up looking like a bunch of comic shop frequenting, paintball playing losers.
FAIL
Holy shift. I'm impressed! I can imagine all of the time and effort they spent on this, as it is clearly shown in the video. I almost don't want to believe this film costed a mere $209. Great work guys.
Really a bang for bug. Increase more jokes will be great.
clownbaby, you're just jealous
it remains me of this lord of the rings fan movie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9H09xnhlCQU
lol i bet clownbaby is a REAL man...lol. uve probably got an in cheesedip covered mangina full of nancho crums u wanker.
this movie was GREAT! well done, anxious for part II!
I hope Uwe Boll doesnot watch this.It might give him an intelligent idea.
Actually, the movie cost $9.47 to make. The other $200 was marketing.
Um...the bullet would arrive long before the sound. FAIL!
If you've ever played the PC version that hit detection lag was dead on. It would of been more realistic had the movie paused so it could find a new host.
Seriously though, excellent job on the movie!
I have my doubts on it only costing $209.42. Between the clothes, weapons (fake or real), and miscellaneous costs (electricity, food, etc.) this had to be more than that.
Regardless, the quality is beyond that of some network channels - good job guys.
ahahha, whoa that was sweet! Oh how badly i would love to work in a visual effx studio.
That was great, however even fake gun costs more than $200 each.
i think the $209.42 is for the cost of anything they did not already have.
