Because everyone needs just one more game that requires a custom peripheral to play.
Today the latest installment of Tony Hawk, complete with skateboard controller gets a price and a launch date. Kotaku today reports that the game is now available on pre-order from GameStop and it looks like fans will be shelling out just shy of $120 for the game and 'controller'.
As Kotaku points out, this is in no way confirmed and the same goes for the shipping date/launch date of October 13, however as much as it pains us to say it, it looks like pretty solid information.

Anyone willing to part with hard earned green to get their hands on this game or are you more likely to ask for it for Christmas or your birthday so you can have it, but not pay for it? Let us know!

as Tom's already said for that "DJ hero" turntable peripheral thingy, I'll wait for a relative, friend or "aquantance" to get it, and then just try it out.
Ive been playing the Tony Hawk games since the original came out on the Playstation.. The games are starting to get a little tired, but Im kind of interested in trying out the new controller.. Definitely not shelling out the money for one though..
still doesn't beat Steel Battalion...
i was never fan of Tony Hawk games so it's not a buy for me...

I'm sure an erotic controller would sell well...
I played the original tony hawk game for PS2 and despite very good reviews I didn't like. No way I would pay $120+ for this.
its probably isn't going to be as good as skate2
but nothing beats actually out side skateboarding!
I played the PC demo for Tony Hawk 2 I think. It limited you to like a two-minute run on a single track. The only good part about the game was the sound effects when you performed a wicked face-plant. It just wasn't the game for me.

The original Tony Hawk was on the PS1, not the PS2. Tony Hawk Pro Skater 4 was the first Tony Hawk game on the PS2.
the tony hawk series of skate games always seemed so contrived and trendy , i neer relaly liked an of them, why would i shell money for this ??? or ask soem one else to for that matter. no I'll pas on this one. however i'm stil wating to see a Skate or Die remake, now that would be awsome.
