Report: T-Mobile Customer Support Confirms iPhone 5
Will T-Mobile customers be the first to get the new iPhone?
With the launch of the iPhone 5 supposedly just around the corner, one of the biggest rumors going is that Sprint will finally be getting the iPhone. However, the latest is that T-Mobile will also be getting the latest iteration of the iPhone. Not only that, but the network might actually be the first to get iPhone 5.
Tech guru Robert Scoble on Sunday posted an interesting comment to social networking site Google+. Scoble reported that a friend spoke to a T-Mobile customer support rep who confirmed that the company would be getting the iPhone 5 and that it would be available from September 25. The rep also said that they have been in training for weeks already.
"T-Mobile getting ready for iPhone 5? A friend of mine was just on the phone with one of the customer support reps and he got him to tell him what's up (very strange, I know, but TMobile employees might not know that's a no-no). The rep said that the company will be the first to get iPhone 5, coming September 25, and that they have been in training for weeks for this. Anyone else hear this?"
Of course, it's entirely possible that the T-Mobile representative Scoble's friend spoke to was bluffing, just for the sake of it. Still, with the phone already available on Verizon and AT&T and Sprint rumored to be joining them soon, it would make sense for Apple to expand to include T-Mobile.
Neither T-Mobile nor Apple have commented on the story. It'll be interesting to see how this one pans out.

Why so much iPhone 5 news?
Customer support training for weeks? How hard could it be?
Customer: I done broke it
Company rep: Is it under warranty?
Customer: no
Company rep: Sucks for you
Really, not that hard...
I'm sure T-Mobile will say it as the first "4G" iPhone like it did with the BlackBerry 9900. They take BS marketing to a new level.

Nope, it's revolutionary remember
hack journalism
That's an old news. My friend just spoke with Verizon customer service rep, the rep confirmed that Verizon will be receiving iPhone 7 as Verizon decided not to carry the inferior iPhone 5 or 6!
T-Mobile is still around lol, I thought they went out a couple of years ago....Loserville if your still on that network!

Actually they have a pretty stellar tower infrastructure, that's why AT&T wants to acquire them, you goon.
I asked them and they told me that they were getting it also!
My friend just called Verizon. They told him they're getting it tomorrow.
it would make since that they are getting it... considering they are being bought out by the company that debuted the phone to begin with.
I'm waiting for the huge lines of people waiting for the new revolutionary product.
What happened to the days of the space race, and trying to go faster in jets etc...
Hey a friend that heard it from a co-worker that is related to a T-Mobile employee told me that they were going to be free!!
How reliable is that?? This thread should end.
2 weeks to go and no hype, no commercials? i call BS.
They're slowly building it. Releasing little leaks one at a time.
That way the iSheep will be running around more
Yeah! I like the quote that "SILVER565" done. "iSheep" & that just sums it up.
My friend's friend's cousin's dad's brother's cousin's gramma said she called steve jobs, who then said that the iPhone 5 will only be available in Africa because he's tired of all the kids making up rumors.
Good to see so many people already know what to expect from Apple. That is a real expensive to buy,but real el cheapo to make mobile phone & that is all it will ever be for the apple followers known as iSheep.
Ha,Ha,Ha! Yeah! iSheep alright!
*Clap Clap*
Okay, real news next ->
Call your retention team, and mention code TMO77UB to have your phone reserved for the first 14000 units in Southern California
Every time I've called a rep in the past 3 months (after being on hold for an average of 45-55 minutes) they've said they are not told anything. So I highly doubt this rumor du jour.
I find it interesting that all of the folks calling out the "iSheep" have no grasp whatsoever of the English language. I suppose I would rather be labeled an "iSheep" because of my interest in a smartphone than being labeled a moron because I am a... well, moron.
you got the news from customer support? yea theres a good source LOL they will say anything to get you off the phone
Cool, now just waiting and counting the days!
Would like to see if the iPhone 5 is really as said in iFunia news blog that will "Have 8-Megapixel Camera"...

It won't just be an 8MP camera though. It'll be a camera that changes everything.... again
I work for T-Mobile's service partner and receive their calls and training. So far, we are not getting the iPhone 5 or any other iPhone.
Oh yes of course... front line customer services staff know this sort of thing. Most of the time it's hard enough expecting them to do their own job, let alone have such an awareness of corporate secrets. This is just ridiculous.
I commented on T-Mobile's Facebook page "I hope you guys are getting the iPhone 5. The suspense is killing me!!" T-Mobile responded with "Hi Camille, we have nothing to share at this time." Hmm...
