Japanese Scientist Makes Robotic Clone
It's the beginning of the end.
Alright, prepared to get creeped out. Japanese robot maker Hiroshi Ishiguro has created a life-like robot so realistic that it looks like the animated dead. Called the Geminoid F, it's designed to mimic its doppelganger human down to the way it nods its head. This thing can laugh, smile... it even resembles the female model its based from like a sterner, colder twin sister.
"Ishiguro, a professor at Osaka University, is famous for creating a robot replica of himself, the Geminoid HI-1, a tele-operated android that he controls remotely," reports IEEE Spectrum. "The new Geminoid F ("F" stands for female) is also designed to be remote controlled by an operator."
