VIDEO: An Android Robot Controlled via Bluetooth
Someone needs to make one of these for me.
If you have an Android phone you've probably marveled at the adorableness of the Android robot at least once. Whether it was the Android emoticons in text messages and Gtalk or the sweet headphones that come with the Nexus One, he is one cute lookin' mascot. Gizmodo agrees and stumbled upon this Android replica (via Rocombu) made by Reo Matsumura and Hideyuki Takei and controlled via Bluetooth.
You could say he doesn't do much in that he can't bring food or vacuum the hall stairs and landing, but he does beep, boop and swivel. And really, how could you ask more of him?
Video below.

aww so cute!
Very nice! Although I would like it better if it had some original sounds other than R2D2.
I want!
Kawaii ^^
I'm green with envy.
can i make him to take dishes off my dinning table ?
Isn't Android Robot kinda redundant?
That's adorable, but that'd be nice if there was some sort of USB function or network comparability so that you could control DVR or other devices from your Android app when away from home. I'm sure there are a million devices that do that already, but you can't overlook the cuteness factor.
how about red eyes? :-P is that possible?
Sorry Tux, you've been trumped
Hum, Nice but what's the point?
Am i the only one who finds the Android user's choice of a "mac" ironic?
I;ve built my own Android BLuetooth controlled robot, from scratch. See a demo video here:
