You might think the iPhone 17e offers a lot of value at $599 — especially since it's the cheapest new iPhone you can buy — but I still find it overrated. That’s because Amazon’s Big Spring Sale has slashed the cost of one of my favorite foldable phones to its all-time lowest price.
For a limited time, you can snag the Motorola Razr (2025) at 34% off. That’s a $238 instant discount, dropping the price from $699 to just $461. Best of all, you don’t need a trade-in to get the deal and it’s unlocked right from the get-go.
The Motorola Razr (2025) is a flip-style phone with exceptional utility. When closed, its 3.6-inch outer screen still offers plenty to room to run full apps and makes it way easier to capture selfies with the better rear cameras. On the inside, there's a larger 6.9-inch AMOLED that better lets you use all of your apps, while looking extra smooth with its 165Hz refresh rate.
The reason I’m calling out Apple’s latest phone is that you're essentially paying more for less utility. In my iPhone 17e review, I noted how a single rear camera limits its versatility — whereas the Motorola Razr (2025) offers a dual-camera system featuring a 50MP main shooter and a 13MP ultrawide.
While I’m not knocking the performance of the iPhone 17e’s 48MP main camera, the Razr (2025) further benefits from its dual displays. Specifically, the 3.6-inch pOLED outer screen adds a layer of utility, allowing me to capture far better selfies than the iPhone 17e. As someone who shoots a lot of video, I love using the rear cameras for self-recording while leaning on that outer screen to ensure my framing is perfect.
The Razr (2025) also wins on battery life, which is impressive given its ability to fold into a compact footprint. Speaking of size, the Razr is much easier to use one-handed via the outer screen. Everyday tasks, like scrubbing through a video or replying to a message, feel far less cumbersome.
Finally, I cannot overstate the price gap. There was a time when the best foldable phones were out of reach for most people due to their hefty price tags. But at a modest $461, the Motorola Razr (2025) makes a compelling case against even the best cheap phones I’ve tested.
