‘A mattress we finally agree on’ — Saatva’s 5-star adjustable firmness bed for couples is $525 off in this weekend's sales
The Saatva Solaire offers 50 firmness levels in one bed. It's ideal for sleepers who don't know what they need from a bed
My husband and I have different tastes in mattresses – he likes softer, more cradling beds, while I feel better supported on firmer mattresses. If you and your partner are also at odds, an adjustable firmness bed could be your dream solution. We recently tested the Saatva Solaire adjustable firmness mattress, down to $3,124 at Saatva (from $3,499), and the couples on our testing panel are still raving about it.
The Solaire offers 50 firmness levels in one bed, all accessed via a remote control, and is well-rated for pressure relief. It’s worth exploring if you and your partner have different sleep needs and want a custom ‘just-right’ feel, as the firmness of the Solaire can be set from ‘marshmallow soft’ to ‘hard as a plank of wood’ and everything in between.
The Solaire is a luxury mattress aimed at sleepers who don’t know what they want from a bed, or who have ongoing pain and need a tailored balance of support and pressure-relieving comfort. The Solaire is up to $525 off in this month’s best Saatva mattress sale, with a queen down to $4,074 ($4,599). That marks a return to the cheapest price we’ve seen it sell for in 2026. It also comes with a year’s sleep trial, a lifetime warranty, and free White Glove Delivery.

Saatva is the luxury sleep brand behind the top-rated option in our best mattress guide, the Saatva Classic (from $1,224 at Saatva), and the quality of its beds is generally very good.
$525 is the best Saatva mattress deal you’ll get on the Solaire, and (based on previous years) I suspect that discount will drop over summer making now a good time to buy.
Adjustable comfort for every type of sleeper
The Saatva Solaire is a six-layer, handcrafted premium hotel-style adjustable firmness mattress. It stands at 13” high and is compatible with foundations and box springs, plus adjustable bases (save $100 at Saatva when buying a Solaire with an adjustable base).
If you snore, the Solaire Upper Flex with an Adjustable Base is a good combination, as then you can raise the head on your side of the bed. This will help open your airways to reduce your chances of snoring.
Our Saatva Solaire lead tester Ashley slept on this hotel-style adjustable firmness bed with her husband, and awarded it an overall score of 4.5 out of 5. Ashley says: ‘This could well be the ultimate mattress for couples — my husband and I are still raving about it.’
During testing we found the Solaire to be supportive, breathable, and able to reduce virtually all pressure points in any sleeping position. This alone makes it a good option for people who tend to lie in one spot for hours at a time.
Although if you have chronic back and joint pain, and tend to sleep well on medium-firm mattresses, I’d also recommend the Saatva RX (from $1,724 at Saatva), the brand’s only bed designed with therapeutic foams to boost circulation, which in turn can help reduce pain in some people.
Smaller budget? Try this…
The Classic is my go-to Saatva mattress and the one I return to in between testing news beds for work. It’s the highest scoring mattress we’ve tested and the best hybrid mattress for nearly all sleepers. While it doesn’t offer 50 different firmness levels, it does come in three different feels to suit a wide range of sleepers. I like the Luxury Firm (a firmer medium feel), while my lightweight side sleeping colleagues prefer the Soft Plush. The Classic is also on sale with up to $375 off, though I expect a higher discount of $400 off every size to arrive when the 4th of July mattress sales begin.
