After resigning from his role as manager of the England men's national football team following the Euro 2024 final, where the Three Lions finished runners-up to Spain, Southgate has now turned his attention from coaching elite sportsmen to nurturing young potential.
“This is the next step in my purpose to get young men and boys moving in the right direction rather than falling behind," he said.
The 55-year-old traveled around the country encouraging young men to speak openly and without judgment about the issues they face, whether in education, employment, or mental health. He even went as far as visiting a prison to speak with young offenders to truly understand what led to their incarceration.
The documentary, according to Southgate, is an attempt to spark a national conversation that he hopes will encourage society to come together and support these young men in realizing their potential.
