How were the old "Doctor Who" episodes 'lost'?
At the time, viewers were enthralled by the concept of regeneration, but for many years, it really was a case of having to be there to believe it. The BBC deleted a big chunk of their old shows to free up space in the archives, not considering the fact that any of this content would be useful in the future. Seasons 3, 4, and 5 of "Doctor Who" were affected, leaving fans unable to see where it all began for this venerable hero.
What else can I watch on BBC iPlayer?
Lots – including "The Other Bennet Sister", "The Apprentice", "Peaky Blinders", "The Young Offenders", "Doctor Foster", and "Inside No. 9".
