Peacock Sci-fi Binge

  • "Sliders" – Explorers travel through portals to alternate versions of Earth.
  • "Brave New World" – A utopian society controlled by a pleasure-drug faces an outsider’s rebellion.
  • "Continuum" – A cop from the year 2077 is stranded in the present day while hunting terrorists.

Reality is overrated. Sometimes you need to ask "what if?" and dive into a show that lets you explore that question with abandon. Whether you signed up for Peacock to catch the Super Bowl 2026 or you’re currently glued to every minute of the 2026 Winter Olympics from Milan Cortina, you now have a powerful streaming library at your fingertips. Once the gold medals are handed out and the stadium lights go down, it’s the perfect time to explore the "what ifs."

Like, what if you could visit parallel worlds? What if society were controlled by a pill? It's easy to imagine, but even easier to watch on TV. Sci-fi is where it’s at—and whether you like cerebral shows or action-leaning "science-y" goodness, Peacock offers a wider selection than you might think. We've chosen three of the best sci-fi shows on Peacock that you can stream now. Below, find our picks and get ready to expand your mind.

'Sliders'

Quinn Mallory (Jerry O’Connell) is a physics student who accidentally invents a device that opens a portal to alternate Earths. That may sound like an awesome idea — until things quickly go south. Quinn and his reluctant travel companions miscalculate their return home on one jump, leaving them stranded in an endless cycle of dimension-hopping.

Each new world comes with its own twist. Some are familiar, while others are ruled by much different societies, with mirror worlds and parallel universes to contend with. Alongside professor Maximilian Arturo (John Rhys-Davies), singer Wade Welles (Sabrina Lloyd), and Vietnam veteran Rembrandt Brown (Cleavant Derricks), Quinn has to adapt quickly to each new area, even as the team wonders if or when they'll end up at home.

In this series based on the book of the same name by Aldous Huxley, citizens of New London are conditioned from birth to accept their roles without question. Society is required to use "soma," a pleasure-inducing drug that controls the masses. It's a utopia, sure, but a fake one. That all changes when Bernard Marx (Harry Lloyd) and Lenina Crowne (Jessica Brown Findlay) meet an outsider named John the Savage (Alden Ehrenreich).

His arrival forces them to confront things long suppressed by their culture. That includes love, pleasure, and anything else you can think of that makes us human. Except that comes with a price, and that includes knowing that their "perfect world" is actually not at all.

Kiera Cameron (Rachel Nichols) is a cop in 2077 who's accidentally pulled back to present-day Vancouver while chasing a group of terrorists looking to change history. Stranded decades before her own time, Kiera works with detective Carlos Fonnegra (Victor Webster) and relies on Alec Sadler (Erik Knudsen), a tech prodigy destined to become one of the future’s most powerful innovators.

Of course, nothing is as it seems in the past, so Cameron has to figure out new ways to solve crimes with the "olds" she's working with. It's a satisfying reversal of the often-used time travel trope, and well worth investing in for that reason, especially if you like your sci-fi with a little procedural mixed in.
