Pebble Watch Gets Three New Colors for Summer

By - Source: Tom's Guide US | B 0 comment

The Pebble smartwatch line just got a whole lot more colorful. Just in time for the waning weeks of summer, the wearable maker has unveiled three bright new colors for its $150 Pebble Watch. They're available now on Pebble's website

Dubbed the Fresh, Hot and Fly collection, this trio of new hues consists of Fresh Green, Hot Pink and Fly Blue, each of which sport a neon-like finish. These color choices are some popular runner-ups from the #ColorMyPebble Twitter promotion from several years ago, when Orange and Grey were originally chosen to join the existing lineup of Jet Black, Arctic White and Cherry Red.

As with previous Pebble watches, these new models can be customized with different bands and skins.

In addition to new colors, Pebble fans can look forward to a few nifty software updates. Fresh, Hot and Fly-themed watch faces can be downloaded from the Pebble appstore, and a new app from The Weather Channel is now available. A Reading Rainbow app featuring a pixelated Levar Burton is also in the pipeline for later this year.

Debuting in 2013, the Pebble Watch syncs with your Android or iOS device to provide text, call and social media notifications on its E-ink display, while offering customizable watchfaces and apps from the likes of Foursquare and GoPro. A more premium version, dubbed the Pebble Steel, boasts a more luxurious steel design for $250.
