The Controller for Your Superficial Web Life

If you subsist solely on Facebook, YouTubes, iTunes, and your webcam, this is supposedly for you.

It's not really clear how a specialized controller can replace the classic mouse-keyboard combo, but designer Marcial Ahsayane (featured here previously as a mouse designer) thinks his variable configuration creation can break the peripheral habits of long-time users.

The InterPad is an all-in-one creation designed to manage those juggernauts of consumer computing—YouTube, iTunes, Facebook, and webcam communications. The central ring is divided into four distinct buttons, with two arms swiveling on the side. Both arms have an analog stick and d-pad respectively.

Again, it's not clear how Ahsayane's concept can change personal computing. Personally, nothing has yet proven as responsive or versatile as a mouse backed up by a keyboard. Nothing browses through virtual friends, online videos, and music libraries like the classic setup.

But perhaps a manufacturer can take a cue or two for a specialized surfing device? We're also assuming that it's also possible to map new functions to InterPad's different buttons and actions.

As with Ahsayane's concept mouse (see link above), no information regarding any planned retail availability was forthcoming. For now, we'll stick to our mice and keyboards.
